is there anyway to bypass locks and pass codes

Ok so i have a lil funny situation that i cant completely comprehend or understand how its happening. So i currently have a note 5 but kept my note 3 just incase anything happens to my 5, so recently I've noticed thats its been used. And come photos and pictures have been deleted so i was wondering is it possible to by pass lockscreen with swipe and password protection?

If it's still password locked with the same password, someone got your password. If it's no longer password locked, yes - it's possible to remove the lock file and return it to "swipe to use".
