Is this normal? Red light under the flash on my S6 stays on when phone is placed on flat surface

When I lay my phone down on its back (screen up), a red light under the flash turn on and stays on until I remove it from the flat surface.

Anyone know how to turn it off or why its doing it?

Isn't that the heart rate monitor? Not sure why it would be turning on

yeah thats what I was thinking. But im not sure.

Im going to look in the settings some more and see if I hve something on.

Figured it out. The Google Fit app is not functioning properly with samsungs heart rate stuff. I read alot of people have been having the same issue even on other samsung phones. I uninstalled google fit and its good now.

Yeah I uninstalled fit app and problem went away with my note 4 on lollipop

Just an FYI you may have to uninstall the Google fit app and then restart the phone for the heart rate monitor to stay off ( instead of just uninstalling the app)
