Is this the dawn of a new era in video games?

With Sony releasing a VR unit, is this going to mark a new era in the world of gaming? Let's think about this for a minute....you are playing Rainbow 6, or The Division...it seems a little more natural to look in the direction that you want to fire as opposed to using joysticks. Also, with the head unit, you can have more of your peripheral vision helping you to see as opposed to the reduced angle that a screen can show you.

I'm a little concerned about performance. The PS4 isn't always great about delivering a consistent framerate, and that's the fastest way to make someone sick in VR. Now that we know the extra box isn't about expanding the graphics capabilities of the console, Sony is going to have to work closely with launch partners to ensure a smooth experience. I hope they can pull it off!
