I want this phone for these features:
Beats and the iBeats
VERIZON 4G LTE
Sense 3.5 (or any other sense 3.0+)
Dual Core 1.5 GHz processor
It's made by HTC (love the look)
ICS upgradeable
Camera

Don't like these features:
Thickness
Battery size
Bloatware
no 4G in my area

+whatever issues are currently there

In YOUR opinion, is it worth it or should I wait for the Nexus which already has an unlocked bootloader :)?

In my opinion, yes. You don't list NFC as a feature you want.

The thickness is a non issue... I was thinking the same before I got it. After I physically held it and pocketed it, I changed my mind.

You can get rid of bloatware now with CleanTOOL 1.1.

Battery life is pretty darn good even with 4G on. Should easily get most users through a whole day on a single charge.

Is say yes, as lakaw says above the thickness isn't bad it feels good in the hands. As for battery life, with 4g on I easily get through day. I unplug at 7am and with moderate use I'm at ~20% by 11pm.

Oh yes NFC...I have a rooted Incredible, bootloader unlocked. Is the bootloader on this unlocked yet and how long till ICS on this thing?

So much hype about the thickness. As others are saying, it feels better than the razr and it really isn't "thick." Go to the store and see for yourself. If you believed what you read on comparison reviews you'd think htc was trying to sell you the yellow pages "(remember those?) while Motorola was selling a paper plate.

My X felt way thicker then this phone! It seems so slick and smooth that in no way is it "thick"!! It is just hype made up to try and throw ppl off from getting this phone!
yes get the Rezound you will not be sorry! ;)

Not unlocked yet. CleanTOOL 1.1 will clean the bloatware of your choice (with a little work from you) or you can do nothing and have it strip everything...

If NFC technology did not exist, this would be my phone for awhile. I know there has been talk of adding NFC to the sim card but nothing concrete has turned up that this will happen for this phone. I looked for the Rezound on the ifixit site to see if they had a teardown of it, and they did not. So at this point I am not even sure the Rezound has an NFC controller like the Razr does.

About the thickness:
The OG Droid is thicker, and heavier. That's the phone I upgraded from. I don't really know how all of a sudden, regular became "too thick" and we suddenly needed paper plate smartphones. Also, the Rezound manages to feel just hefty enough to feel stable and durable, but light enough to feel sleek and sophisticated. It's a good balance, imo.

I personally like the size of the phone. I've played with the RAZR and I have the same problems with it as I did with the OG RAZR. TOO THIN! Their main selling point was a negative for me. It feels rugged and too hard to hold in the hand and use as a phone. The Rezound is more "ergonomic" because of it's thickness.

I love this phone. It may be too thick or big for others, but not for me. This phone is fast too. I have 4G in my area as well. This is the best phone that I have ever had.
