Issues with playing my music from sd card

I've moved my music to my sd card but whenever I try to play almost any song it literally plays the first second and then skips to the next song in the playlist or album. It does this all the way through the playlist until it's done, playing each song for a second. It doesn't matter if I try to play music on the Music Hub app, Amazon player, or any other music player. Has anyone had this experience? I have tried transferring my music via the Kies software and the old fashioned drag and drop on my pc. I'm thinking there is an issue with my microsd card?

I had the exact same experience about 6 months ago. Shortly thereafter, my SD card crapped out on me completely. Good luck. (You've been warned)

Did you format your SDCard in the phone prior to using it? Was it new, or did your S3 inherit it from another phone? There have been some posts about strange issues if the SDCard is formatted as ext3 (the default if you format it in the phone) and those problems have gone away if the SDCard is formatted as FAT32 (which you'll have to do in a computer).
Or as the previous poster noted, perhaps your SDCard is ready to give up the ghost.

Ran into the same problem -- and shortly thereafter, the SD card would not mount anymore.

I stuck the card into and adapter and ran a Windows file recovery app against it -- and nearly ALL the MP3s on the card were now zero-length.

I replaced the card (and the phone) and have not had such problems since.

BTW, my wife has the same phone and the same SD card as my original one, and has not had this problem.

Appears that some phones are trashing their SD cards.

The biggest problem is that these tiny storage devices can only be formatted, or written to so many times, and they die....at the worst possible time, usually. Every time you add a song, or delete a song, you're writing to it, overwriting it, etc.
