The SD and USB adapters are both available on the Samsung website... And both are compatible with the 10.1

I've yet to see them list the SD Card adapter. Only the USB & HDMI

You're right... Going back and looking, I didn't see the SD adapter either. But given the option of the two (SD and USB) which would you rather have? You can do far more with USB, including use an SD reader

The SD card & usb adapter is suppose to be for the 8.9 only...look at the video of the unveiling of the tabs at exactly 23:03.

I saw that video before & thought that as well, but those that got theirs from the Best Buy in NY on the 8th said otherwise.
Also if you go the Samsung site, it will list the accessories. Click on the item to view additional information. Near the bottom of the page there's an area that says "Will this accessory work with my Product".
Type in "samsunggalaxy". It will begin to filter products they have. You should see the 10.1 wifi version appear in the dropbox. Select it and it will confirm that it's supported.

It looks like the usb only adapter and not the usb/sd card adapter available for the 8.9 only.
So it looks like you can connect a thumb drive, which is much more useful than a SD card.
I don't care.. I have already sync at least 18000 songs on Google music.. that is actually saving me a space.
Engadget (and likely other sites as well) reported today that Samsung just released a USB adapter for the 10.1 for $20 in case you hadn't seen that. So that takes care of the USB concerns. I'm sure whatever dock they come up with will have more USB and maybe even an SD reader if the minions complain enough. ;-)
