As I'm laying here on the couch watching an episode of The Killing that I downloaded to my Xoom and am streaming to my HDTV via the micro HDMI cable I picked up today, I can't think about how awesome it would be if there was an app that would allow my Evo to act like a remote for my
Xoom so I could launch the next episode from the comfort of my couch.

A little off topic, but I'm curious how you are downloading video to the Xoom. Are you just loading from your computer, or is there another way? (If it is less than legal, we can just leave it at that)

I?ve thought the same thing about these phone/tablet parings.

Even better than just a remote, I?d like to see the capability to use my cell phone as a touchscreen gamepad for the tablet.

Allow me to prop the tablet up and use it full screen for viewing the game, then use the phone full screen for controls and/or secondary information like maps.
