Besides the underlying hardware boost from the Evo, it has a lot to do with the fact that it's THE Android phone with HTC Sense out of the bunch of 4G phones coming out soon. Just remember how most of last year, despite the fact that many Android phones were released after the Incredible came out (Droid X, Droid 2, Galaxy S), a lot of people still said "The HTC Incredible is still the best out of that bunch, and even arguably better than the Evo." The Thunderbolt seems to be heading that direction as well in the war of the 4G phones.Could someone explain why so many people are excited about the thunderbolt? I'm not really seeing how it's so much better than an evo?
I got to admit thought, the level of excitement has been a lot louder than even I expected, considering the somewhat lukewarm reactions after CES and the lack of real enthusiasm from technological pundits (it was mostly all about the Atrix for them).
