Itouch Internet won't work with my nexus hotspot

Having an issue with getting my the internet on my itouch to work via my nexus s hotspot connection . The itouch shows that it's connected to the wifi signal from my phone but the Internet doesn't work, any ideas why ? Btw My computer connects and internet works fine.

what generation is the itouch? it may not work with wpa2.

anyways, try using the "Open" Security 1st to see if that will even allow the ipod to connect. I'm thinking it has something to do with the WPA2 security.

It's a Itouch 4g the latest one with the camera in the front, and my hotspot is already open, any other suggestions?

Btw the Itouch does show the wifi signal is connected successfully with full bars but I can't use the browser or any internet apps.
