It's been 2 days and it seems no one has received the OTA update.

i am having a problem with my OTA. i have recieved the OTA. when i press on restart and install, it takes me to TWRP and just stays there and does nothing. does anyone know why this is happening? and what should i do? thanks

i received it on my N7 2013 friday (belgium).
still waiting for it to land on my N4...

@NET62957, did you install GEL by yourself or did it come with the update ?

Which trick is that and how does it work?

Essentially you go to Setup | Apps. Select All. Locate the Google Service Framework. Stop it and delete cache. Then go to the Update page. it will show last updated in 1969. Press Check For Updates. I may find the new 4.4 update and download it.

Force stopping and clearing cache in framework did it for me. What are the hazards of doing this that you reference Jerry

Just did the Google services framework trick and got the OTA. Using a 2013 N7 LTE.

got it yesterday in belgium.
no performance improvements so far, i checked memory and did antutu just after reboot, before and after kitkat :
Antutu after reboot on plane mode with 4.3 : 17228
Antutu after reboot on plane mode with 4.4 : 17205

same goes for ram usage but given it never really stabilizes to one fix number, i prefer not to give numbers, but globally, i stayed at the very same level...

What exactly does kitkat bring?

Still no update........dang. Patiently waiting! :-!

@bagou01...........I went with the Nova beta application. I got the transparent notification, navigation bars and kit kat icons.

I just received the update here in phoenix. Although Im a little bit hesitant about installing it after reading all these bad posts about it.

Received mine yesterday afternoon. I did not have 4.3.1 long enough to notice any significant differences between the two so far. I guess time will tell.

Do you really think that? or is it more like a placebo ?
i mean, i was also waiting my phone to be snappier, but compared antutu benchs as well as memory consumption, and find, at best, no difference... at worst, antutu results show lower performances...
and personnaly i got it on my N7 and N4, and it feels even a bit less snappy, i see lag time to time...

I got mine this evening. Disaster. Phone froze up and so I did a hard reset. Second time I'm losing all data. I know I should have backed up. Now phone is dead. I have the android standing up and then falling face down with a red triangle and exclamation point, underneath which it says, "no command." Phone seems to want to restart, but is unable to do so.

HTC tells me warranty is voided and to reset the phone using terminology I don't understand will cost me at least $90.

Can anyone help me - step-by-step, both with doing whatever it is HTC would have done as well as retrieving my data (mostly pics)?
