Btw, is it just me thinking this or does it seem JLo dramatizes and over-emphasizes her minor accent in order to sound more "latino"? Hearing her speak today (or reading the teleprompter I should say)..it was almost like she suddenly developed a fairly heavy accent where I never really noticed one as much before.
Viva Movil...really? That's somewhat a racist ploy and a pathetic excuse of an announcement. They could've announced the One and made a nice quick buck.

Oh well, today was the deadline I set for my relationship with Big Red. If they announced the HTC One, I'd stay. If not, I'd leave. Guess what? Verizon just lost another long time customer.

Placed an order for an HTC One via T-Mobile today after checking coverage in my area. Finally getting off my family plan with Verizon. Bring on unlimited data and HTC (and future Nexus) goodness.
Kind of glad that Verizon botched their announcement today -- gave me the motivation to leave them FINALLY, gain some independence from the family plan of my parents and family, and get the phone I've wanted for a while. Glad to be back on a GSM network!

You won't be disappointed! I did the same. Was worried about speed n coverage and haven't noticed a (negative) difference at all. Congrats!

I was wondering how much you're going to be paying a month? It looks like we are in the same boat. I am leaving the family plan too and today's event pushed me over the edge. Its just been really convenient paying my share of the family plan but all this crap with Verizon has finally gotten the best of me.
I bought the phone up front and got truely unlimited ($70) with insurance ($8) for $78/month with no contract.
For $50/ month you get throttled unlimited.
If you don't buy the phone up front add $20/month to the plans above, contract, and $199 or whatever the deal is you pay to get the phone.
A lot better than having to buy the DNA up front to keep my unlimited (for $115/mo ($230 fam plan))! I thank them for giving me the runaround about buying it up front. Went to multiple stores that said they had them in stock a month ago, only to get there and be denied when I told them I want to buy it outright.
Psssst.... Still hope for you guys that didnt switch yet! I feel kinda evil keeping the hope alive.

I'm sick of waiting. My T-Mobile HTC One is already on its way.
Absolutely no sadness in leaving Verizon. Only thing I'm gonna be sad about is spending all that money on the ETF.
Despite the missing out on the HTC One..Im guessing some folks will curse Big Red even more when it comes out with the rumored Butterfly 2/DNA 2 and it manages to substantially improve upon the One (that will arguably be hard, though the DNA is amazing in its own right imho). Still, for accessory and development purposes I hate all these damn exclusives on VZW.
Do people buy these types of accounts? I'm planning on leaving VZW and my Unlimited plan also soon.
I was ready to leave big red for Tmobile but the coverage is very hit or miss in my area so for now I will be staying with Verizon. I may look at switching to AT&T next year if Verizon continues to disappoint me
