It's worth buying a LG V20/V30 used on eBay?

Hi people, i want to buy a LG V20 or V30 (i am not decided yet) but because my budget i think buying it used on eBay, do you think it's worth it buying it used or not? i don't care really about scratches and things like that, i am only worried about the durability and functionality of the phone. What do you think? Thank you :)

From a private party, if they give you the IMEI first, yes. If they don't, it's possibly stolen.

From a company? They're usually "Chinese refurbs" - cleaned up, repackaged and shipped out. They don;t even turn them on to see if they turn on. I got a few of those from different sellers, then gave up on companies selling used phones through eBay. You get your money back, but swappa.com isn't much more money, and you get a good phone (again, if you stay away from the companies).

I'd very careful with these models as they do suffer from the LG Bootlooo issue as well, so do some research to ensure you are not getting a device that is affected by this issue.

Welcome to Android Central! As long as the user is reputable and you can give the phone a try before buying it, buying privately is usually okay. I'd recommend the V30 over the V20. I was very close to getting a V30 last year - it's a fantastic phone with great specs.

As far as bootloop goes, I haven't heard that it was a huge issue with the V30. A few models may have it, but it wasn't an issue like it had been with the LG G4. I had an LG G3 which only had a few models affected with bootloop; but it wasn't a "trend."

I bought a V20 on eBay, no issues. It was mainly to trade it in.
For personal use, I would recommend that you get the device on Swappa.com or post a WTB ad here on the forums Marketplace.
