I guess my question / concern is. Why do we have this ItsOn app if we are not using pre-paid service? It is my understanding that ItsOn is for pre-paid sprint customers.

I think it's also used for the family share plans too...
Go to the following location with ES File Explorer, /system/priv-app/ItsOnUID.apk. check the following,
Date: 08/01/2008 05:00:00 AM
Checksum: MD5 3623b9a8fdeb9a21234c080e266d7447
See if yours varies.
I just checked and I have the same MD5, but it's still giving me problems. It's On sucked up 50% of my battery before I caught it and rebooted.
Question, can I just delete the it's on apk and kill this problem? ES seems to let me do it without root access.
Correction. Even though ES gives you the option to delete, if you try you get a notification that it can't be deleted.I just checked and I have the same MD5, but it's still giving me problems. It's On sucked up 50% of my battery before I caught it and rebooted.

I had it the first couple days after the update, but then it disappeared. Very strange.Anyone still having this problem? I haven't gotten any sort of an update and this week ItsOn! has started draining routinely over 50% of my battery in an hour. I'm actually losing power while charging on my computer at work, it's draining so fast. Reboots do nothing.
It was fixed in an HTC Service Pack update.I had it the first couple days after the update, but then it disappeared. Very strange.

Haven't seen it pop up in weeks.....It does not seem that way. I just got ItsOn popped up on my battery usage again today after all HTC Service Pack updates.....
HTC and Sprint better get this Sh*# together and fix this. We will see what Lollipop brings....
