I have 14 days until our new billing cycle starts. My lte data speeds were in the double digits but now I can hardly get a solid digit!!

Sounds like you have a "unlimited" data plan from att and hit the cap where they throttle.

Yes I do...normally my speeds are really good. I have to wait until March 24th to get my original speeds back. This really sucks!

Yep. I had ATT for so long.. Kept my unlimited when they switched to tiered plans and then they throttled me to crap speeds so I left.

But they slow you down after 5gigs of data is my understanding. I normally never use over 1gig my self. So you must use it a lot! What are you doing anyways? If you don't mind us know. Slowing you down is a lot better than charging you more though. Well IMO anyways. I pay for 3gigs a month and never come close to using it and I use mine every day. I don't stream anything though.

That's why. If you don't stream it's really hard to eat up data but if you do stream you can chomp through it.

I saw the pic and that reminded me of my days with Sprint.
WiFi would be the faster speeds and the slower would be normal data speeds.. LOL

That sucks. I wish we would have kept att back when we had unlimited. We have 6gbs shared between two and are already close to 3gbs. We havent gotten WiFi in our new house yet or we wouldn't even be close. Last month we used 4gbs shared

Oh this isn't a war of who is faster... Sprint will always and I mean always be slower than Att or Verizon. Anyone who says otherwise is delirious.. The people who I quoted will know what I mean since they were Sprint customers at one time.

My point was they said how slow Sprint was.. While I agree the 3g is crap and has absolutely atrocious speeds.. their LTE is fine. Plus... What good is faster anyway if it's limited by your wallet? As you said you wish you still had unlimited as so did I when I was with ATT.. So I moved to Sprint since I am a streamoholic.

I'll take 15Mbit down average any day for as much data as I want to use and not being charge a penny more :). I can't see the need for any more speed on my mobile.. If i can stream and browse the net at good speeds.. It's a win ;)

Oh I know, I was just looking to see how it compared, as I hadn't tested in this area yet (moved here four days ago from Kansas). I am by no means trying to rub the speed in. I have had sprint and loved it while I did. I never had problems with speed, it just depends on what area you are in.

Ah okay :). I agree to.. Some people have the worst luck with Sprint because it really does depend on where you live. It shouldn't... But sadly it's the truth. Some people I've told to get outta dodge and go to another carrier because they can't even load Google.com lol. I am fortunate to live in a okay 3g area with LTE expanding by the day.

I do like Verizon speeds though. At work LTE for Sprint is almost there (if I walk outside and 5 min down the road I get a super weak LTE signal so it's close!) so I am on 3g which is normally okay but since they are messing with the tower it sometimes won't work.. So my buddy who is grandfathered in on the unlimited plan for Verizon will let me leech his hot spot  and I can download files to my S3 at 2MB/sec..definitely nice lol.

YouTube and Netflix at night while I am at work. My lte is faster than the wifi at my job.

Maybe in the old days ;)

I'm glad you live i one of the few 4G LTE markets! sadly its the only way Sprint is any good. Their 3G is so bad in 90% of their 3G coverage areas. If I had LTE I might have stayed but then again I like GSM phones. Easier access at switching devices! I like that freedom. But Sprint is cheaper! So I guess it depends on what your needs are. Hope the speeds stay that way for you as well.

lol no doubt that pic Gadget posted brought back bad flashbacks of Sprint speeds.
Thanks goodness those days are over , being able to load a web page in seconds compared to minutes is a plus well worth dealing with cap.
I use 1.5 - 2GB monthly with phone coverage , Store reps & customer service that actually works and happy to pay more $ for it.

I like pages in seconds as well and with the LTE it does. I am glad you can deal with the cap though.. Just not everyone is in that situation. I could possibly deal with maybe a 10GB one but that would cost me a pretty penny.
