I've got a Nexus 6P here, lets get some questions going!

You can rapidly charge with a QC charger. I haven't gotten 3a output yet, will hopefully have more information soon.

Could you please compare it on a QC2 charger and see how fast it charges compared to the normal rapid charging?

Also, in your slow motion video focus was missed (it focused behind the subject). Is there any chance you could retake it with the subject in focus? if you took it with a more well lit foreground, as opposed to a bright background, and from a slightly angle, i suspect you'd have better luck with the focus.

Thanks for all the info. I can't wait for the phone.

Interesting data so far on USB A-C cables through my meter.

A USB 3.0 cable I got from ZUK for their Z1 only charged at 1.5a @ 5v

The included USB A-C cable only charged at 1.5a @ 5v

The USB A-C cable OnePlus sells for their 2 was the only cable to trip the "charging rapidly" message on the phone, increasing to 2a @ 5+v.

I don't have a USB C-C meter yet, but Ampere needed to be set in "old measuring method to do anything. I ranged from 1300mA to 1900mA for a few minutes and then dropped to 330mA to 930mA. Phone says it will need 1hr 30min to fully charge from 30% connected to the Huawei charger.

Russell, thanks for doing this and putting up with a lot of questionable questions.

That varies with the battery percentage though, doesn't it, so all readings were to the same..

oh never mind, you know more than I learned from Rukbat :)

I have never used a phone bigger than 5.2 inches which my current S6 is. How does the 6P feel in the hand? Is it unwieldy? I was looking more at the 5X but I love Amoled Screens and am not sure if I'm ready to give that up.

How is the sound quality? The Nexus 5 and especially 6 have pretty bad sound quality, while the HTC M9 is amazing. How does it compare to other leaders in the field (M9, Galaxy S6, iPhone..)?

I was also curious about this. It is one of the few things that is really hard to gauge just by looking at photo/video of the device. From what I've read, it is better with one hand than the Nexus 6. Doing a size comparison on Phone Arena shows it as being a bit less wide but the same height.

How has your one-handed experience been? Despite being similar proportions, do you find the 6P more comfortable to use than say, the N6? I like my N6 but even with my pretty large hands it can be awkward to use.

A common concern has been scratches to the aluminum, especially in the graphite color. Would you like to take one for the team, and beat the hell out of the back of your 6p with your keys, and let us know how it goes? :-)

Hell no.

It is absolutely more comfortable to use than the OG N6. It's not nearly as thick in the middle, and it's a little thinner. It's most easily compared to the iPhone 6S+, truth be told.

Glad I ordered a few of the OnePlus cables! Thanks!

A wild Nexus 6P appears!

I've been using this for a couple of days now, which means it is time to try answering a few of your questions. We've already done a hands-on, and this morning we published some of our camera samples, but there's still a lot more about this phone we can talk about before the review is published.

You all know what to do. Fire away and I will do my best to answer as many questions as possible.

Who would use the Nexus 6P must answer me these questions three, ere the end of these questions he see!

  1. What is your name?
  2. What is your quest?
  3. What is the average air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Hi, I'm only halfway through the thread so I don't know if this has been asked yet. Since you are on Verizon, have you or could you test the signal strength between this and some other phones like a Samsung or Motorola? Since this is most people's first experience with a Huawei device, the radios/signal stregnth is a bit of an unknown. Thanks.

Any advice for car mounts that would work especially well given the phone's size and button layout? Bonus points for ones that work with the CD tray.

I highly recommend RAM car mounts (I can't post the link but just google search "ram car mounts"). I bought one two years ago and although a bit pricey, it is by far the best car mount I have ever purchased. IT is easily adaptable, the suction is excellent, very sturdy (does not jiggle while driving), and holds a large phone with ease (I used a OnePlus One, my wife uses her iPhone 6+). I don't think I ever need to buy one again with the quality of this one, but if I did I would not hesitate to buy another from RAM, well worth the high price.
