I've got the EVO - ask me anything!

According to Engadgets review, the EVO LTE only supports MTP unless you are using the sdcard so not sure why HTC didn't just use one big partition.

What???? It doesn't support usb mass storage? This is really going to piss me off if it is true!

I could be wrong but, it should have mass usb storage support, like most any phone.

I could be mistaken but the bit about MTP is where you can a access both the comes from the computer and the phone simultaneously. Unlike normal USB mass storage where when connected to the computer you're unable to access them on the phone.

What's an MHL port?

MHL is an adapter that uses the USB port.

I stand corrected, I've seen it called an MHL port on various sites. Anyway, the USB connector on my View is different than my EVO 4G. I can use the standard micro USB connector in my View but cannot use the cable and adapter that came with my View in my EVO.

I did just see some videos on youtube with people using an MHL adapter with the One X so maybe it's not an issue.

I'm so sorry to re-ask, but I didn't see my question still in the thread, and saw that you answered adam's. Could you paste the contents of /proc/partitions?

External speaker info ahead!!!

It's pretty nice, actually. I think it's a tad more crisp than the One X, and just as loud. Will update with GNex once I get the damn thing charged. :-/

So Im assuming alot better then other HTC devices with TERRIBLE speakers. I can barely use my evo shift on speaker in a quiet room let alone while driving.

Either way Im probably pre-ordering tonight.

I've never heard or used a One X, and I doubt many of us have. What's it like compared to the original Evo?

He's already answered that...Check the first few pages.....

'cat /proc/partitions' and 'cat /proc/emmc' are different than what was answered (ls -l /dev/block)

Please Phil 'cat /proc/partitions' and 'cat /proc/emmc' from adb and post the results. Thanks a bunch!

Well he's the one who offered himself up for sacrafice. I'm sure he appreciates your concern over his hygiene and sex life.

If you were able to read the whole thread as it unfolded you would see what he is talking about. Phil has been editing the thread so a lot of posts are missing but basically a lot of people were being borderline rude (posting in all caps, reposting their questions if they weren't answered in 15 minutes, etc.).
