Didn't place my order till 1:06 PDT for 32GB Black. Prob not going to have mine shipped till next week I assume.

I had a half-day of work and got to my g/f's about 2 pm and wondered if it had been released, so I checked Reddit and saw on /r/android that it was in the Play store. Bust out the laptop and hit the Play store and ordered a 32GB black unit. There was a bit of a hang in getting the Wallet dialog and confirmation screens to come up and I started to have flashbacks to the catastrophic Nexus 4 launch, but after a refresh I was able to check out.

Ordered at 2:09 pm EST. Got shipping email at 12:51 am. Got 2-day shipping, so I guess it will arrive Monday; Saturday would be too much to hope for, but perfect for my schedule.

Fingers crossed that it will be a good unit. I've had to return my first copies of both Nexus 7s and my Nexus 4, so being in the first wave is risky business.

I'm still on the fence so I have no right to post in this thread. I could take the money out of savings if I dare. My browser is on the white 16 page... The taxes will be high... But it will probably sell out if I don't buy one... It hasn't been 24 hours yet since launch... But if I buy it I can't use it yet anyway because I have to dump Sprint and the ETF is what's been holding me back along with a dip in income since August.

Not sure what to do. The sensible thing would be to just wait for something else until I have more disposable income. But if I don't leave Sprint the months of service until March 2015 will cost way more than the ETF. And Sprint is horrible here. If I get the N5 it would be all ready for whenever I can leave Sprint (maybe in January). I should get it! I'll get the 16 instead of the 32. But that's half the space and if I get on GoPhone or Straight Talk I might want to try to stream a movie for once. It's just $400 + the high taxes here. OMG. Still if I can convince myself I'll actually be saving money in the long run, but I'm not sure I will. My Sprint plan isn't even a data plan, it's just for a feature phone. But if the N5 sells out and I can't ever get one I'm stuck buying a more expensive or crappier phone when I finally leave Sprint.

I don't know what I should do. I should wait if I'm not willing to dip further into savings right now. But it really does make sense to get the N5 now though. If I waited another year prices will be higher next year I'm sure.

what are the chances of Saturday delivery?

Probably no because that would be overnight shipping or 1 day shipping?(If the mail service is even considering Saturday a business day.) Monday at the earliest if package is leaving a shipping center and is on transit. Saturday if it is include as business day.

I most likely will be unavailable or just missed the package and have pick my Nexus 5 the next day from the post office.
