'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

(Delivery Commitment Saturday Delivery commitment times depend on the shipping service you choose:

UPS Next Day Air? Early A.M.?: Guaranteed delivery one hour later than the guaranteed weekday delivery time, as early as 9:00 a.m., based on destination
UPS Next Day Air?: Guaranteed delivery by 12:00 noon or 1:30 p.m. where weekday shipments are delivered by 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 noon, respectively, based on destination
UPS 2nd Day Air?: Guaranteed delivery by end of day for shipments picked up on Thursday, based on destination)

So if the ups got the package in time on Thursday then a Saturday delivery is guaranteed.

I think most Google Play Store devices ship out of Louisville, KY. That's a major UPS hub. I've read that Google contracts with UPS Logistics for order fulfillment. I wonder if the supply begins transit in a UPS warehouse at the hub and is shipped directly from there. In other words, these puppies were already in UPS's hands before we even ordered them.

Received tracking info at 12:42 am and received confirmation email at 2:03 pm. 32gb black

I thought it was over once I made the order. Can't sleep so I bought some accessories and I got work in a few hours fffffffff

I wonder if Saturday delivery is "included" with the two day shipping option or if it's an extra charge/service for it

Mine has shipped as well good luck and a great night.

Just ordered on sprint for a cool $50 :) FYI if you port a number to sprint, you get $100 off.

Yup. Tradeport. Its a huge e-commerce hub.

@mrsmumbles - you can get the N5 with sprint and use it until your contract expires?

I dunno. I thought if I put a new phone on my line they'd start my contract all over again? I really hate Sprint here. Plus I'd have to switch to their data plan and it just isn't worth it. I'm stuck on my slow WiFi anyway.

If I buy a N5 I'd definitely not want to use it on Sprint here. But thanks for the idea.

Hello,

I am proud to say that I have ordered a 32GB black nexus 5. I currently have a Verizon LG G2 Phone which I do enjoy a lot (due to its battery size) but my company is offering me a corporate phone so I'll see that iPhone they give me and use that money to pay off this purchase and use nexus for my company (they don't install anything that's "corporate").

What's funny is that this was such a impulse buy. I saw this morning -- saw 1-2 days shipping -- saw the price and clicked. It was euphoric.

If it weren't for my brother to tell me "Google launched it!", I'd have missed ordering mine.

All said and done, I'm sorry to say its been a rather poor experience because of (at least in part) Google. Almost no information before hand on the launch, no launch per se, insane number of leaks as a result, and finally they sell out yet again in such a short time.

I'm going to lose out on LTE because I got an N.A. model and the LTE Bands here in Bahrain are different, but its alright, its something while unfortunate, I can live without.

The accessories, yay that they launched it quickly and with the device, but the prices are down right silly, so yeah, you can keep them Google.

I think Google should let the professionals, i.e. Moto, handle all hardware releases from now on when it comes to phones.

Ordered 5 minutes after announcement and got a shipping confirmation a few hours ago despite estimates that it would be shipped Nov 5. Awesome!

Probably will be here Monday but fingers crossed for Saturday.

I took the plunge! Ordered my first choice of white 32. I was going to get the 16 but when I returned to the page it said sold out.

I convinced myself I'll be saving money in the long run and even if my logic is fuzzy in some places I do intend to pay the Sprint etf in the next months and I'll have my new phone all ready and waiting. It was either this or a Xiaomi Mi2s and at least the n5 will be relatively reliable to ship out. (I still want the Xiaomi though!)
