My worst fears are confirmed, the 16gb model is back ordered for 2-3 weeks. I could cancel my order and get a 32gb and have it come within 1-2 days..

For an extra 50 bucks that should be a no brainer. Go for the 32

^This. Only $50 more and you get it weeks faster plus you get double the storage (something other companies charge a $100 for). While I know some people are more than happy with 16GB I chew through storage space and didn't even consider the 16GB as an option. As awesome as the Nexus 5 is, if Google stopped production on the 32GB model I don't think I would still have purchased the device.

Ordered a 16g black Monday, 12/16, with an expected ship date of either 12/27 or 12/29, depending on whether the play store or my invoice was correct. Went with standard shipping, which I regretted once I realized I wouldn't have my phone until 2014.

Got a shipment notification last night and it's already in Kentucky! I should have it by Christmas!

That's the reason why I never got a Nexus 4. 16GB is too small for me.

San Diego, here. Ordered black16g n5 w/2 day shipping yesterday before noon. By 8pm email came saying it had shipped. This morning I clicked on ups tracking link and says I'll get it tomorrow. Now to see which version...upgraded hardware or not....

I ordered a 16gb white version. When I ordered it said it would ship by the 3rd, but now my order says it will leave the warehouse by the 5th. I hate to wait that long, but I don't really need 32gb of space, and technically the only hurry I'm in is my own impatience.

I ordered a black 16GB N5 on Christmas. The message said that it would ship on or before January 5. I received a message today, 12/27 that it had shipped and should be here on 12/30. Really looking forward to using this phone - especially now that most of the bugs seem to be worked out.

I ordered a Black Nexus 5 32gb last night because my S4 Mini has pissed me off for the last time. It says it will leave the warehouse on the 5th Jan which I cannae wait for. I would of gotten the white one sooner but I don't like the split colour look and heard the black version feels miles better. I'm looking forward to owning a phone that will be faster than my current and ever since joining Android from BB in the last few months it has made me crave bigger screen and specs that my S4 Mini don't provide tbh (only got it cause of the small screen for one hand use) I'm in the UK and really hope to get the updated version but I don't mind which as long as it all works as it should and that nothing feels loose . The only thing I'll miss is call blocker and stock text app as hangouts don't appeal to me.
