'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Thanks, I've come across a number of posts from people who talked about how their Nexus' shipped as late as 9pm and arrived the next morning. Hoping that is what happens with mine.

That would be awesome if it happened to both of us, goodluck Sir

I got robbed today trying to buy a Nexus 5 off Craigslist to save $20. The guy took my cash and took off on his motorcycle.

After the cops were notified and given his plate I ordered one on the play store like I should've done on the first place.

I got shipping notification tonight.

First $860 Nexus 5.

That REALLY sucks bro!

It's good you got his plate number, though I'm not sure how much good it'll do in the end.

My mother got ripped off after she bought a stolen phone unknowingly on Craigslist.

I've just come to the conclusion that phones are a little too risky to purchase on there.

same here. let me ask you something, did they charge you before they shipped the phone? i only ask because i was told that they don't charge until it gets shipped, yet i got charged the day i placed the order (2 days ago), not the day it was shipped (today).
Monitored my Credit Card. I was not charged until the phone was shipped.

However, there was a hold put on my card when I ordered to cover the phone.

Also: Got the phone yesterday. loving it so far

14 days is nothing. Try 60 for tmobile. (And yes, they'll have your device for 59 days before they process the refund)

Yeah, 14 days is amazing (relatively speaking). i find it interesting that companies can take your money instantaneously. but refunds take weeks.

I once had bell accidentally charge me $400 in Cancellation fees when I resigned. They charged it straight to my credit card immediately (cause i had pre-authorized payments). Upon admitting to their mistake (which took hours on hold), they then informed me that i could either accept "Credit on future billing" for the $400 or, if I wanted a refund, it would take up to 2 months to refund to my credit card, or 3 months to issue a cheque.

I would have raised holy hell for that! I can somewhat understand it taking a long time for a device, since they have to examine the device and they have a lot of returns for them to handle. But if it was their mistake, they're going to give me my money back ASAP.

I ordered mine on Friday, but the 32gb black model's had recently run low. I got the shipped email around 5 hours ago. It's shipping from Kentucky to Georgia. UPS says delivery will be in Wednesday, but I am hoping that it will arrive today. I have heard of some people experiencing super fast delivery, is that still the case?
I'm in Atlanta. I ordered mine on a Friday afternoon and UPS delivered it to my door on Monday morning!

Sadly mine didn't get to the local facility yet. I'm going to call UPS and see if they can hold it at the location that they normally ship from. I can pick it up after work a lot sooner than they can get it to me. I'm so tired of waiting, lol

I called up UPS and have changed up my package so I can pick up my Nexus at the sorting facility after I get off work. Let's just hope that it gets there by the time they open.

I ordered mine on Monday around 2:00 EST and paid for 1 day shipping. I woke up on Tuesday with an email saying it was shipped and the phone arrived on my doorstep at 3:00 EST.

I ordered my Nexux 5 unlocked 16GB from amazon at 4 am this morning, I was debating between the Nexus 5 or the Sony Xperia( Had thoughts of the s4 active).
I'm in NewYork and it should arrive on Friday, I can't wait to put Straight talk on that baby.

Well, officially from UPS, my Nexus is lost. I am waiting for the refund to post from Google so I can try again. This time I am going to call Google to place the order and see if I can get them to give me free next day shipping for the trouble with their contracted carrier. The worst they can say is no.

Bell Canada outright refused to go any faster and quoted "company policy on refunds"

so I called my credit card company and they reversed the charges. I had to sign an affidavid saying it was in error and that Bell was purposely dragging their heals.

My Credit company reversed the charges pretty quickly and actually sued Bell on my behalf for the $400 difference.

I ordered mine tuesday morning 1/21 and received it 1/23 before 3:00pm with the next day shipping. Extremely happy with it so far. Switched over from an iPhone 5S.

I've had an iPhone since the original and just got tired of essential the same the OS over and over. Needed something new. I tried the Nexus 4 last year but didn't really like it and ended up getting a 5 then 5S. For whatever reason I am loving the Nexus 5. The last time I really liked my phone was probably when the iPhone went from 3G to Retina 4.

Anyways shipping was super fast. Im using straight talk as my service had to sand down my nano sim and put in a micro sim adapter to work. Im ordering a new sim so it will fit in nicely without an adapter.

I got mine on Wednesday and I am loving it. Everything went so smoothly. The only issue that I do have is the stock email app.

I have become addicted to Google Now thanks to the Nexus. When I get to work, I just launch now from the launch screen to check in with my family. Having a qi wireless car charger makes it crazy easy to get in and out of the car.

The volume is actually surprisingly good, considering the comments that I heard about previously.

I'm using a Spigen Neo Hybrid case, which looks great, but I constantly have to take it off because it blocks the usb connector for my Hale Dreamer. Otherwise it's amazing. How can anybody go back to anything else?

Ordered mine Saturday night. 32 gig black. Got a tracking number yesterday and should be here tomorrow!

So I ordered yesterday and the order hasn't processed yet (totally reasonable) but now when I check the 16gb Nexus 5s in the play store they are all out of stock? Is Google really out of stock all of a sudden? Or is this just a play store glitch. And is there any reason to think that this would slow down my order? I'm hoping to try the Nexus 5 out before the Moto X deal ends just in case the Nexus 5 ends up being too big for me.
