I gave up on the Red Devil fulfilling their promises. Called eight stores (all Verizon owned) and not a single one has it even for display. Ordered from HTC.com. Next business day shipping. Excited.

Did same exact thing. Ordered Verizon model direct from HTC. We also get free Uh oh being we ordered from HTC so there is that.

Ordered from HTC with promo code, Unlocked, Carbon Gray, Carrier will be AT&T. Will use 32Gb SD card with adaptable storage as I don't need more than that. Can wait for shipment! Will replace Nexus 6P as it is just to large for me.

Ordered mine from Verizon today. Traded in my g4 that I got for free basically and got 312 credit towards the 548 price of the phone.

Selling my s7 because Samsung has horrible customer service, and in my eyes, that is something you can't overlook.

HTC customer service has been fantastic with my last 2 phones. Technical support really knows their stuff, which oddly seems like a rare thing these days.

I don't understand these sentiments I'm seeing in this thread. HTC promised early May and are on-track for early May shipping. Are people jealous?? I sure hope not.

I don't think it's jealousy, but everyone who preordered through HTC has a right to feel cheated if their preorders come in AFTER Verizon has the phone for sale in store. That Verizon, a sorry carrier that is not customer OR OEM friendly, would have it first is bad enough, but the fact that preorders for full price were not actually fulfilled first would be a slap in the face. That said, it is still early May, but the clock is ticking.

I did exactly the same thing for exactly the same reason. Love my Nexus otherwise and might keep it as a backup and for playing with custom ROMs.

They have until tomorrow to ship my phone. I have been waiting too long and the phone isn't even a hype anymore. I will just have to wait until next year for the m11

You're willing to wait another year, but you're not willing to wait for more than one more day?

The hype for me getting the phone is over. Seeing this phone in reviews and all over, made me feel as if I already used it. It looks old go me now; I will just use my m8 until next year, or order the 6p to play with

If you're having buyers remorse, just cancel your order and be done with it. You don't have to justify it by acting as if you're teaching them a lesson because there's no lesson to teach. Buyers do this all the time.

And do keep in mind it is not HTC's fault you're bored with your new toy before you ever get it. That's on you.

It's not teaching them a lesson. This shows how stupid we are. I must wait on a pre order from last month 13th April but Verizon comes in and pre order on the 29th and gets the phone a week later. That's Bs and everyone agrees it is. What will be more laughable is if Verizon customers also get it before us. We have been asking for a specific date from April 12th and never got it. Verizon customers got it on day one saying may 5th and even now we don't have a date.
