"I've ordered my Nexus 5X" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Re: "I've ordered my Nexus 5X" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

They make it easy and in the past there have not been restocking fees.

Pretty sure my charge for this phone has been processing for a week straight now. The good thing is over the next few days we should all be getting shipping notices and some of us will have it in hand. I'm not really in any hurry because I'm using a Moto X Pure and there's not a huge difference between the two other than size, but I'm still excited to see how good this thing can be.

I used my Google Wallet Balance and my money was taken immediately.

For the record, I'm watching Bills/Bengals and Jets/Redskins and both games have had multiple Nexus 5X commercials played.

Mine is coming into Carphone Warehouse UK tomorrow for collection.
I ordered one on Google Play, changed my mind, bought a Moto X Style and saw the 5x was cheaper at CPW so have taken the 14 day swap option.

Same here in my market with different games. It's an all out Google blitz!

My phone (16gb/ice) went from pending to processing on Thursday 10/15 and another pending charge went onto my credit card. However, the expected delivery dates are still Oct. 27-Nov. 3.

I ordered on Sep 30th with CPW and have still not received a delivery email. Might have to give them a ring in the morning.

Now the estimated delivery date is gone from the Google Store page. It just says processing. Google Play still shows leaves warehouse by 10/20.

Nevermind: it came back.

sweet. I keep hitting F5 on my Fedex Delivery Manager page. I hope I get a tracking number today.

I just used FedEx's Track By Reference (using the last part of my order number, after the period) and the label was created and it is due to ship today, Standard Next Day for delivery tomorrow!

Glad to hear US orders are finally starting to ship. I'll have to try that when I go home for lunch. Maybe I'll actually have this phone by the end of the week...

Insurance boils down to basic math. If Google didn't make MORE money by selling Nexus Protect, then they wouldn't offer it. By definition, this makes it a bad deal for the consumer.

Any time you are offered a paid extended warranty, this is true. It doesn't matter if it is the store or the manufacterer which is offering the paid warrant, they wouldn't sell it unless is benefited them in the long run.

I don't think that's how it works. Of course they want to make money but them making money and us saving money when we accidentally break a phone are not mutually exclusive events. They can make money and we can save money too. I know I'd rather pay the fee + deductible and get a new phone than pay over $100 for some 3rd party screen that is crap from Bob's phone repairs down on Main.
