"I've ordered my Nexus 5X" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Pre-ordered a 32GB Quartz 5x on October 4th, shipped on the 22nd, arrived on the 23rd. This is my first Nexus phone. Most recently, I've owned a bunch of Lumias and an HTC 8x.

The build quality of the 5x - and keep in mind I'm coming from the 8x which isn't a fancy phone - feels a LOT sturdier and much less "cheap" than the early reviews led me to believe. Reviews and pics also made me think the phone was going to look and feel "phablety", but the overall size and weight is great if you're looking for a phone that feels comparable to an iPhone 6/6s.

Compared to all phones, I feel like the 5x is a solid 7 out of 10. Other phones have bigger/brighter/higher-res screens, faster processors, more RAM, better cameras/video specs, better external speakers, etc. But they all cost more or have "less" in another places. Everything on the 5x is "good" or "very good." For the money, I think the 5x is a 9 and maybe even a 10; a way solid phone for about half the price of an iPhone 6s. Tremendous value. The iPhones are fantastic phones...they just cost *so* much.

One more thought: I was worried the 6P was going to feel much too big, but based on how great the 5x feels and acts, I'm thinking about trading up.

Ordered mine last Tues. (10/20) and it's been sitting on a FedX truck since Saturday 5:48am "waiting for delivery." Been a long weekend! Carbon 32GB with Nexus Protect, to replace my much loved Moto X 2013.. the 2015 X just too big.

same here! ordered 16 GB carbon on 10/20. it's been sitting since Saturday in Natick, MA for delivery today in boston!

Finally got my White 32gb delivered today. Don't see the non "premium" argument aka not shiny Apple AL-LOU-MIN-EEE-UMM comparison. The 6s is the first iPhone I've not had and this phone has me in love with it and the weight does not feel like its light enough to fly away as one review suggested. I'm very impressed so far. Need to have some more time with the camera but it appears excellent albeit slow.

Well as i listed earlier my wife got hers and it is phenomenal. I just canceled my 1st 6p 128Gb order to order the 32gb 5x carbon since i need a phone to move my the wife and I to Project Fi and get away from the blue death star. I do have a secondary order that I put in about the same time for a 64GB 6p directly thru Huawei, so I'm going to let that one play out since it is fully charged already and I would receive it about the same time frame of early november as the original google store order. Best of all no tax from Huawei in my state.

5X in Carbon 32GB Made it home last night.

I'mma dope though. I bought it from the google store and not google Fi so I have to wait for the SIM card.

So far just using WiFi it's great Better then I expected actually.

All my apps transferred from my HTC One seamlessly. Now I just need to remember all my passwords

Asked for Fi invite on the weekend, was approved on Monday, ordered 5X 32GB on Tues, picked up by FedX on Wed. Unfortunately, warehouse is in Illinois and it takes FedX ground a week to drive the truck to California. The price I pay for free shipping.

Order a 16GB carbon about 3:30 am Friday the 27th, it was delivered 9am Saturday the 28th. FedEx site said weekday delivery so I was totally thinking Monday at the earliest. It did ship from a town within 20 miles of me, might have had something to do with the speedy shipping.
