"I've ordered my Nexus 6P" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

I tried the Moto X Pure and really loved pure Android, however, the battery life and camera left me with a lot to be desired...plus I'm so used to the fingerprint scanner on my iPhone 6 Plus. It was either the 6P or Samsung and I just want the simplicity of vanilla Android. Ordered the 64 GB Aluminum 6P on October 1st...delivery expected between November 5-6 with 1 day shipping. I ordered both the Quartz 6p case from Google and the Adopted Carbon case. Let's hope they ship earlier!

I changed my mind. I had ordered the 32GB Graphite before the page went live, with a Nov 4 - 6 estimated delivery date. After seeing all the hands on videos I decided I don't like the graphite color that much, it looks too dark and the Nexus logo is barely visible. So, this morning I canceled my order and went with the 64 GB Frost model instead. Luckily the delivery date is still at Nov 5 - 9 for it, so I didn't really lose that much from ordering 6 days late. I didn't bother with the expedited shipping but maybe that would have bought me back the day or 2 that I lost. Oh well, hoping they ship soon!

PSA: Oneplus is finally selling USB Type C cables for $5.49 and $6.99 but unfortunately they charge $5 shipping (seems to be a flat charge). I have a Oneplus 2 and they are very nice since they are reversible on both ends. There is going to be 3 USB C devices in my house so we need to get new cables for the house, cars and work so shipping is probably ok if you order 4+ cables.

It's an authorization charge that should drop a few days after you pre-order then a charge for the device when it ships. At least that's what it's been for me in the past.

I'm a first time Nexus user and first time pre orderer. I ordered a Nexus 6P 64 GB Aluminum on Sept 29 and haven't received my confirmation email yet? Has this happened to anyone else? What happened was I made the order twice but because I had used the wrong Credit Card the first time. Also, does Google have a history of shipping early? I'm SUPER excited...

Yes. The pending charge isn't showing on my card anymore, and the order still shows pre-order status when I log into the Google store.

I recommend everyone stock up on a few of these. I looked all over for some 6 foot cables and found very few options. These look really good (plus reversible USB-A end is great) and you pay $5 flat for shipping regardless of how many you buy. On amazon I also bought some adapters that I'm going to use on my ample supply of Micro USB cables.

I received confirmation and also something really important... Google said that you will be charged ONLY when the phone ships... I already got Charged, so that means that we will be able to get our phones early?!!! Loving nexus 6p graphite

You've already been charged fully or was it just a pre-authorization charge?

Did you get an actual charge (as in a charge that cleared) or just an authorization ("pending" charge)? If you have an actual charge that should mean that they shipped it. If not, you're just seeing a temporary charge that will fall off in a couple days, to be replaced by a final charge upon shipping.

This is a good sign. My stupid bank website is jammed up right now so I can't see if I also got charged. But I think that suggests they are shipping or getting close.

Interestingly Marshmallow factory images also dropped today.
