I ordered the 32GB Graphite from CWP when it said an expected ship date for 22nd Oct, now says 30th Nov. :'(

Just had a dispatch email for my 6P from CPW in UK, guess the November date is for new orders.

There are two pages. One is the Google Store order history, where you'll eventually see pre-ordered change to pending and then processing, etc. The other is in the Play Store. If you go there, click the gear, and then "My Account," you might see some more precise shipping information.

I ordered a 32gb aluminum 6p on the 29th, an hour after they were available. I was given a delivery estimation of Nov. 10-12! What is that? I decided I wanted nexus protect and so I made a second order on October 1st for the same storage and color combo, and I was given an identical delivery estimation of October 10th-12th. This makes no sense to me, but I cancelled my original order that I made in a rush. I'm still annoyed that it is taking this long. My phone is still pending, not processing, and as I continue to refresh my order page, I can't help but wonder: does Google enjoy torturing its most loyal followers? Why announce such an epic phone and allow us to order it, only to make us wait for over a month to hold it in our hands? I would rather the announcement have been on October 29th, with me getting some satistfaction within a few days! Is that really too much to ask? At this point I'm afraid I will resent my phone and the month long torture session it represents by the time I have it.

Is this a serious post? you know it's just a phone, right? Exit question, why did you order a phone if you knew it was going to take a month to get delivered?

No kidding. Having a meltdown over shipping dates they told us when we ordered.

Most likely this thread will blow up over the weekend/early next week. If Google treats the 6p anything like the 5x, we should see the following:

1.) A few Car Phone Warehouse orders getting shipped this weekend (unless Google cracks down which I doubt)
2.) An announcement on Monday or Tuesday that day one orders are being shipped (this could be restricted to Google's expected most popular color/size configurations, but you never know)
3.) Some happy people early to mid next week
4.) By the end of the week, shipping will be running a few days ahead of projected time-frames.

Did anyone order additional USB-C cables? I'm debating on it after reading all the articles about how scarce they are right now. i knew that from the beginning but the articles are bugging me out a bit more lol. I might get a couple off Amazon..

Just registered so I could let you all know that you look like asshats to the outside world. Kid had a perfectly reasonable frustration and chose to vent it here and ya'll pounced like a bunch of hyenas. Google was NEVER explicit about their shipping dates so you guys are just lying here. Why lie? Just to make you flaccid point seem stronger? During their announcement google did not give a specific date (why not if it was always gonna be the same date?), they were purposely vague and now the consumers are suffering for their vagueness. This is the first time ever they have not shipped out a phone around the 2 week mark after announcement.

Frankly his concerns seem completely valid and you all appear to be living in some sort of lala land where everyone knew their ship date from day 1 and this thread has generated over 1000 comments from people who all knew their ship date but felt like comparing dates anyway?? Honestly and seriously, what do you guys think this thread was for if everyone knew their exact ship dates? Pull your heads out of your backsides and try to be supportive to your fellow community members people. This guy has vented the same frustration people were venting weeks ago. I'm pretty sure their sane reaction to this situation will not inhibit their ability to behave similarly sane when something "really truly is bad"

I live in the US but I come from Canada where people are courteous and respectful, yet somehow people wonder why the US has a violence issue when there are people like this who are all too eager to attack someone else for absolutely no reason. Easy cupcake. We were given estimated ship dates when we all ordered. Maybe you don't know what estimated means. Nobody is lying. If you like Canada so much please go back.

Actually we all did know our shipping dates from day one. Every single person who ordered was given an estimated delivery date the second they ordered their phone, and it hasn't budged since then. This thread is kind of silly in that it's all people posting those days over and over, but that's just to help pass the time while we wait for the day we were told from the very beginning.

The person being criticized did have a bit of an overreaction by saying that he may resent the phone because it's taking too long, when it was shown exactly how long it would take the second you order it. You can even see your ship date in the play store. There are no mysteries or misdirection here on Google's part. Pre-order means exactly that, you order something before it becomes available, and they gave us exact dates as to when that would be. Nothing has changed, and they were very explicit about exactly when these devices would be shipped and delivered from day one of pre-orders.

I agree there is no room for emotions here. We are trying to exchange info . The fact is at the time of pre-order the play store clearly indicated the likely delivery dates. In my case I ordered on Oct 29th , few hours later and got the estimated delivery date as November 10-12. An now they have updated saying that it will be on Nov 5th. If at the time of ordering, one finds that the indicated delivery dates are not suitable one had the option to cancel the order. Every company does that with pre-order. Google was terrible in relation to Nexus 5 but this time things are going really well. After a month you can buy when you want it. It will be nice to have free exchage of views, opinions without getting emotional. Thanks

I agree that Google should have included a shipping/release date in their announcement, but when you went to the order page it said how long it would be, so nobody who actually put in an order for the thing went in blind. For that reason I tend to side with the people who say you knew what you were getting into and ordered anyway. Yeah it's a long wait, but anyone who pre-ordered knew it would be, so complaining about it afterwards comes off a bit petulant. In any case, flinging personal insults at people who are impatient doesn't help anything either. Toxicity gives the AC community a bad name.
