"I've ordered my Nexus 6P" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

as I was typing, My order just shipped! I'm in NC. I ordered the first day of preorders. I have a 32GB Graphite.

Some maybe, but some have a point. People who ordered after day 1 are getting their phones before people who ordered on day 1?! Now does that make sense to you? It doesn't to me. I'm all for Google, been on Android since cupcake or donut, however the randomness of these fulfillments is aggravating. What's the point of 'pre-ordering' when they just ship out randomly anyway? There are some things I'll give Google a pass on, however their delivery of products I can't. It has always been terrible, and it still is to this day.

I'm a day one order and disappointed it hasn't shipped yet however has Google actually missed any estimated delivery dates yet?

Some of what we are seeing I'm sure is just coordinating shipping logistics for a massive amount of orders. It's not as random as it seems.

My reasoning for being disappointed in Google is because of things like this. People who ordered the phone the minute it went live or even like myself the first week of Oct are still in pending or processing, while other phones that were ordered like last week are already being shipped?

This is what I mean when I say Google is still operating as they did years and years ago and have still not figured out how to realease a device correctly.

It just angers me when people say oh nexus doesn't count as a revenue for Google so they dont need to be like apple and how they put so much effort into their release and have units ready to ship out and all that jazz. Sorry I feel if your going to do something, do it right.

Why should someone who ordered something much later than someone else be a priority to get their merchandise sooner than someone who ordered almost 30 days prior...makes zero sense IMO.

I ordered a 64GB Graphite on 9/30 and it still says Pending with a delivery date promise of November 10 - 12.

I ordered on 9/29 with same expected dates. (64 graph) but mine went to processing yesterday... Waiting for shipping today hopefully.

My order went into processing yesterday at like 12pm and i still haven't gotten any tracking info. Is that normal?

mine just went to shipping...

32GB Graphite. Went into processing yesterday around 11:30am. Ordered on 9/29 maybe hour or so after went live and took free 3-5 day shipping option - original estimate Nov 5-9 but tracking says should arrive on 10/29 in Queens, NY. Excellent.

That's actually good advice. I wish my phone was shipping also and am anxoius. This happens every year.

Mine did that last night and my credit card got charged so I expected to get a shipping notice today. But then I checked my credit card and they backed off the charge. When I called they said I was set to be shipped on 11/13. Not sure why the charge appeared last night since it was already approved when I ordered on 10/19. All that really changed then was from Pre-Order to Processing and for some reason, they ran my card again but then backed it off this morning.

Check your payments.google.com page. Unbeknownst to me, I had an issue with my payment method that I was not notified of and only figured out today with the assistance of a Google representative. There may be an issue or an explanation there for you.

My ship date is Nov 4th-6th, choose over night shipping, and I'm fine with waiting.

However I'm not fine with ordering the first week of October to only see that people who ordered let's say Oct 20th are seeing ship notifications while my order is still in the pending phase.

My only one complaint, is this. Google is doing this random thing and I don't think it's cool to the people that were early jump on's that ordered over a month ago. In all honesty it makes no sense. Has nothing to do with people voicing their opinion or being impatient. In all seriousness does it makes sense for some guy who ordered let's say a 32GB phone in Sept to still be pending while someone who ordered last week to have the same device shipped?

I find the whining and complaining both hilarious and stupid at the same time.

It isn't like theres one guy who is filling every 6P order in the order in which they were placed. there are local distribution centers, which bring regional differnces, more popular/stocked models that there are more of, etc. There are dozens of factors to it, with "exact time order is placed" being among the lowest.

Google gave you an estimated delivery date when you placed your order. If they miss that date, then sure, complain.
