I don't understand their shipping debacle either.
I order day 1. Been in processing since Monday afternoon. They hit my card for another hold then also but still haven't completed the charge. No shipping as of Thursday morning.

Just seems crazy that they would ship to people that order 2 weeks after their first customers.

I simply dont get it either. There's people that fight the way either you, I, or someone who's ordered almost a month ago and hasn't gotten their phone yet feels. People see that as impatient? Which is pretty bizarre. I'm not impatient, if nobody had gotten a phone yet and we all were still just waiting that's just the way the course was set originally. However for Google to ship someone out a phone who ordered this week (quite a few) while people like me who has ordered almost a month ago sit and wait at a snails pace for our phone to ship, is just plain stupid and terrible business practice. Saying the phone is great and it's worth the wait does not make me feel better, especially that after like 7 nexus launches Google still can't make this a nice experience for let's not just say loyal android users, but everybody. I'm sorry but the correct term would be that this just isn't cool at all, yes I get the whole different models and storage and colors go out at different times and all that. But I just watched almost another full week go by with people ordering the same model as me almost 30 days after me and today they are actually using their phone as I'm now onto processing purgatory...lol, it's truly not the end of the world, but just very dumb business practice by a company that's worth billions. I'd expect this from maybe one plus one or a smaller company, not the Queen bee of the Amdroid food chain.

I have worked with supply chain during product launches and yes I understand the inherent difficulties, but this is par for Google's course. Granted it has gone smoother than previous years, but even so not the best experience when you ship orders first for people who were far behind the actual pre-orders. I'm not talking about the Frost orders, but others who had them placed on Day 1 still waiting while someone who placed it last week already has it in hand.

That's not forecasting -- that's just poor logistics.

It's not even Google... They contract the distribution out to a third party vendor Ingram Micro. Any frustration and venting is more towards them than Google. In the past they used another vendor out of Louisville Kentucky who shipped everything via UPS.. Google is NOT a distribution logistics company nor are they really a retailer. Heck they are not even a MFG.... Every single aspect of a Nexus device is contracted out to different vendors (outside the software)....

Considering it appears Google has switched up the logistics/distribution to a new third party vendor it would appear they are at least trying to figure it out..... Worse case Google just picks bad distributors...... or well they probably went with whoever bid the lowest to handle the job........................... They are a business and are not in this to just give away money... They just want your search/ad revenue...... and mobile is where that revenue growth is at...... if not they wouldn't even make phones or push android....

My 2 32 GB Aluminums shipped yesterday afternoon from IL and will be delivered today in NJ (overnight shipping)

I haven't heard of any graphite shipping in a while. Mine is still stuck as pending.

I'm in that same boat (purchase first day and still waiting), but I thought that was because I got the Alum 64GB, which probably had higher demand than forecasted. However, my expected delivery still states Nov 10-15, and mine just switched to Processing. So, even though people claim to have "expedited experiences", Google still hasn't infringed their customer expected delivery date (in my case... yet).

I ordered 64gb Alum within 30 mins of Launch
Given a Nov 10-12 date.
Switched to pending almost 2 weeks ago and Play store said ships by Nov 4th
Google pending charge on card for $1 on 10/25
Google Charge my card the full amount 10/28 around mid day
Order changed to Processing.....
It has been almost 24 hours since they charged my card and it is still processing. I guess it is better than being in pending :)

Free shipping to NJ, hopefully it comes soon. My Note 3 is tired and needs to be retired.

I placed an order this morning for 2 64GB Aluminum and they switched to pre-ordered to pending already. That took awhile when I placed the first order on 9/30. I wonder how fast they will ship, I picked next day on these. My previous order switched to processing in the late afternoon yesterday, but I don't have any shipping info yet. I actually wanted to potentially cancel the original order because I used the wrong credit card. The original order in processing says Nov 10-12, the 2 new pending orders are Nov 13-16.

On another note, is anyone getting Nexus Protect?

Re: "I've ordered my Nexus 6P" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Ordered 32gb graphite day after release. I've been in the processing phase for three days now :(

I'm in a similar boat. I ordered a 32GB Graphite version 30 minutes after the pre-order page went live and had a ship date of November 2 for a November 5-9 delivery. I was charged early Monday morning and nothing since. I've now hit day 4 of processing...which seems a bit out of the ordinary compared to most everyone who has shipped within 24-48 hours of getting charged.

Re: "I've ordered my Nexus 6P" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

64GB Frost ordered 9/30...

Chatted in with CS to see since I had so many issues with the payment method on the 5X and it being fishy that it only started moving once I chatted again.

All they said is everything "looks good" and that it would be shipping by end of the day Nov 2nd. which would hit their Nov 5th window. I am not sure if this is just their standard answer at this point, but after a crappy 2 hour commute with car issues at least it is some news.

Is there something wrong with your card?

I called CSR. I was reassure my device was not delayed. They also said I would receive tracking/shipping info once their Google warehouse has received and shipped the device. I would get notified on before Nov 2nd on status of my 6p. I should know in the next day or after weekend. I hope it ships this week my eta is Nov 2 to 3 so if it doesn't ship by Friday or Monday they will miss their eta window.

Sean,
Cursing is now warranted when the G is shipping them out of order. Bad move GOOGLE shame on you.

Have you ever worked for a large company, like high up in Management? Even in a place like google it is not all rainbows and sunshine inside with endless resources and time. There are constant business deadlines and pressure to deliver and sell and ship product and meet budgets and profit margins. Lets not even talk about the people and the politics.
Nothing inside these companies are perfect or even close to perfect and even for a well oiled machine launching any product is a crazy nightmare and only barely scrapes by to get out the door even close to on time. Marketing teams and Production and Operations all have competing priorities and all believe they know the best way to do it. It is a crap show. Dont expect it to change.

To answer your question:I owned the first Android phone. the HTC G1. The first Nexus Phone (Nexus one), the Galaxy Nexus, 2 Nexus 7s, A Google TV, 3 ChromeCasts. and many more other dervices. I am new to this forum as i am normally on XDA.

Is there something wrong with your card?

I don't think so. It is showing as a charge on my credit card. I really don't want to reach out to customer service to avoid being "that guy", but I kind of want to since even on the store site it says processing is 1-2 days.

Be that guy, if it has been more than two days processing something may be wrong without them telling you. Because it happened to me.

"processing 1-2 business days" is why I called last night - the CS simply asked me to "read through its entirety and noted that the estimated ship by date is Nov 2, so we have 4 more business days to fulfill"...

My guess is calling them is not helpful as they keep saying "it's on its way/will be on time/everything is good to go/the demand is high" etc.

Ditto, 64GB Aluminum 6p ordered within an hour or two of announcement, charged on 10/28, now in Processing. Still estimates Nov 10-12
