Whelp just ordered a 32GB Aluminum to cover the 32GB Graphite, playing the racing game of whichever ships first won't get cancelled. If I get the aluminum I might returned my case for the clear one instead of the graphite one.

Ordered Aluminum 128 GB model as soon as it was available on 9/29. Contacted customer service and said it should be shipping on Nov 5th (according to the order details), even though status is still pending. I was told I will be charged when it ships.

An interesting detail, she also told me that:

some customers have been getting emails alerting to a delay and are going to be receiving a small compensation for the wait.

I haven't received any such email, but wanted to mention it.

My "Less than an hour ago" order is still processing! Curses!

Just called to be "that guy" again..
1. Confirmed the graphite 32G is indeed delayed, confirmed;
2. Asked to send out whichever color is available as the "preordered" phone, said ok;
3. Asked the $50 Play credit, after 30-min back-and-forth, said ok!

My Aluminum 32G is out by tomorrow!!Yay!!!!!

Aluminum phone is now processing as well, in 1 hour it did what the graphite order did in 1 month.

Just call them, it's a system override/special case grant and they mentioned they did that "for a number of people" already.

But don't cancel your preordered phone.

For me, it took half an hour for the order to change to 'Processing' after my card was charged.

Why this part?

Put it this way, they need a proof that you really did preorder it so that the $50 credit could be granted (they cannot override as it's a system-generated credit given to pre-order folks, this is why a special case consideration is given; anyway we did not get anything more than we should - we preordered, compromised with the color, and are entitled to the credit); if you kill the proof, they can't do anything then.

He mentioned his supervisor will send out an email to the group of "that guy" about how to redeem; but he specifically said do not cancel now until I get that email and wait for further instructions.

It's like they gave each employee at the warehouse a bunch of orders to fulfill and half the employees decided to take a few days off. All the good employees are getting through to the later dates of their stacks. The lazy ones are still on day one. /s
I doubt that's really the process, but really I see no reason why so many later orders are going before the earlier orders of the exact same models.

Ordered mine on Oct 4 and still pending. Sigh. Plenty of other folks with this config, who ordered later than us or same time, have gotten theirs or at least shipped.

They are simply saying they have supply issues. Extended processing time means they simply don't have it and waiting for supply as well; If they have any, the processing time is pretty fast. I would still order from google but probably one for each different models next time (jk).

Chatted with Google Support about my order (128GB Aluminum, ordered early on 9/29). They claim that everything is set for it to ship tomorrow, which is my "ship by" date.

On the other hand they also disavowed any knowledge of any delay on the delivery of 128GB phones in general, so I don't know how much stock I put in their answer...

I ordered a 64gb in Frost on October 2 and it just went to "Processing" this afternoon. Hoping my 2 Day air is upgraded to overnight, so I have it before the weekend?!
