I talked to CC earlier today and they said it would ship today... So far it's 9:08pm on the East Coast and I'm like....:'(
My 64GB Aluminum, ordered on 9/29 arrived today! Best Nexus yet! I also have a 64GB 2015 Moto X w/ a wood back. I love the Moto X as well. but I suspect it's the fingerprint reader that's going to win the day for the 6P. The Moto is a bit more narrow, and coupled w/ the wood back is more comfortable to handle, but dang, this 6P is nearly perfect. Now to find a decent case.
Well just had a talk with a very helpful Google CS rep. He essentially said certain colors/sizes were not produced in the volumes they expected by Huawei and that it is causing a delay that they didn't expect and that Google is really scrambling to get all the units in. He said this is a big deal over at Google and they're trying really hard to get everything fixed and get phones out to everyone. They're expecting it to take another week, maybe 2, but he said much much sooner than that is the goal.
He also said he acknowledges that some people are ordering and getting devices "now" and that there is different stock allocated to different regions/states in the US and that people can have a completely different experience based on their location and what model/size they order. He said switching to an in-stock model is totally a fine idea, but it may still take a week or more just depending on the demand of that model in your region.
Basically, nothing we don't know, but nice to hear it very matter of fact and from Google themselves. I really appreciated him saying everything he said.
