I've used the HTC One. You've got questions. Let's do this.

Does sense reload every other hour? It seems that my EVO lte does it after the jelly bean update.

I have One question and One question only.... Can I have it? ;)
lol
anyways, how's the chamfered edge holding up?

Phil or Alex: any word on the grade of aluminum? I know there are softer and harder grades. Judging from the stories of bending iP5's, they used softer aluminum. Just wondering if they said anything. (and "aircraft aluminum" is just a generic term, so that doesn't count :-P)

When I was handling the phone, the back kinda felt like good plastic, so I am going to say a softer grade in the back.

My question is Sprint-specific so not sure if it can be answered until the Sprint version comes out.

I would like to know if Sprint version of the HTC One has a micro-sim slot or is the SIM embedded like Photon Q LTE and Note 2.

In one of the interviews posted it indicated it was a harder grade of aluminum than the IP5, but I can't find the one right now that mentioned it. It specifically pointed out they went with a harder grade to protect the chamfered edge. With that said, my IP5 has held up really well overall without a case. Handling multiple drops onto a treadmill and then bounces onto a tile floor without any scratches. Was pretty surprised at that to be honest.

Hey, everybody. Just a heads up that if you don't hear from myself and Alex for a little bit later tonight/Saturday, it's because we're en route to Barcelona, and not that we don't love you. Keep the questions coming!

So, there it is!

So many reviews of this device have mentioned the 'new look' sense 5. I agree, much has changed. But many reviews also fail to mention a beautiful feature of sense called skins. Since my Desire HD I have been changing skins on a regular basis to keep my phone feeling fresh. This changes many of the UI graphics, often producing better results than the stock skin selected. You can even get a skin from the Play Store that makes it look like Jelly Bean - no new launcher required.

Further, one huge advantage of Sense and it's widgets (assuming you use widgets) is that each skin applies to the widgets in a uniform and complimentary manner. All home screens are populated with graphics that work together, not a mash up of styles from different developers and designers.

QUESTION: Does Sense 5 continue the 'Skin' feature. If so, what parts does it change when updated. Sense 3.6 was very limed for example.

I don't know if this has been asked already, but I searched the thread and didn't see it, so I'll ask: What version of JB does this phone run? 4.1? 4.2? I'd like to know if you can put lock screen widget on it without 3rd party apps.

well I looked into too many reviews and 1 of them mentioned no skins available for sense 5

1) memory dumping / reloads does sense 5 still binge and purge. This would cause issues with other things to like not getting notifications, keyboard crashes etc. in sense 4
2) sense 4+ broke mounting my phone as external storage to transfer files from my computer and requires HTC sync for transferring files. So can it simply be connected without HTC software to transfer files to storage?
3) camera is better in theory but are 4megapixels really better than 8 megapixels?
4) can blink be the secondary screen or can it show emails, texts, upcoming appointments, google now tiles ?
5) call quality as its still a phone
6) awesome clock and weather widgets please tell me they are still there.
7) back to multi dumping...if you are in a game say angry birds and you pause and check a message. When you switch back do you lose your level? Sense 4+ did this with lots of games.
8) welcome back how was Barca?

Do you mind saying whcih review said that? Link?

I have seen the "Personalise" option in settings, but never opened.

Does anybody know if it supports OTG? with no expandable storage it would be a real shame if it didn't.
