Jelly Bean 4.2 Camera

Installed the file from the original post, and no dice. Running Vicious Jelly Bean 4.1.

Wiped cache
Used Root Explorer to place file into system/app folder
Changed permissions to RW-R-R
Wiped GalleryGoogle.apk file from that folder (moved to another folder and renamed)
Rebooted
Camera and Gallery were missing from my app drawer--nothing.

I'm too chicken to actually erase that original GalleryGoogle.apk file entirely. Think that's what's causing the issue?

Try the zip file hidden in this thread somewhere. You can rename the apk to bak. It will still be there when/if you need it.

I also flash it and I also get an 2nd Camera and Galery. Camera works but when redering it CF at the end. But the image is in the galery but not 360. How can I view them?

I have a LG P990 with latest CM10 (4.1.2).
Does someone have similar issues?

using ES file manager rather than root explorer works well for changing the build.prop! FYI, my issues are fixed

Yes nearly the same issues. I can use photosphere, after that it is rendering and fc's at 99%. After that the gallery restarts and seems to finish it, but the pictures are only 1.5mb in size and dont have 3d on g+. Tried everything.uninstall with titanium, cleared caches, cleard dalvik, flashed, .... copied manual, ... Everything else working fine.

@Donald Nice - Same issue... Gallery FC at ~99% :/ I've flashed it using CWM and copy files (with 3 libs) manually using RootExplorer. Renamed .odex and old app as well. -- Galaxy Nexus "maguro" with 4.1.2 (JZO54K), yakju

So androidpolice have been doing some work:
We patched the Camera to stop checking for compatible phones when starting Photo Sphere - it should work on all devices now.

That means that I had to update my zip.

What should be working now is:
1. Panorama.
2. Photosphere. (requires gyroscope?)
3. Photo editing.
4. and the ordinary photo/video stuff.
5. Should work on ALL phones.

That means what doesn't work is:
1. Sphereview

Zip should take care of that, if not delete the GalleryGoogle.apk manually then flash the zip again.
The libs are all the same so there should be no problems there.

Someone said to remove the googlegallery.odex but I can't find it. I've asked where its supposed to be and searched as well to no avail. I'm running S3 ATT version with task's latest 4.1.2 build. Anyone have ideas?!?!?

I might be wrong but I belive that AOKP Roms are Deodexed? that means there shouldnt be any .odex files in /system/app. only apks.

If Thats where they should be then yes, only apks. But dang, then that means I have no other option to get the new camera to work on my s3. Sheeeeet.
