Jelly bean pushing now!!!!

I can't remember, I'm rooted, but no custom ROM, nothing else, can I still get the OTA update pushed to my nexus?

Logged on the computer tonight, checked Android Central and saw the post that the OTA is rolling out. So excited, still nothing for me yet though.

Jelly does not seem to have major changes. Google now does not seem to have a lot of the extra functionality you were asking about, but since it is new to me I am guessing it will be interesting. My guess is the will evolve extra functionality over time. Seems very responsive also. Hope others get their updates soon and can enjoy. One thing I had heard is that keyboard was better and I think I agree. Less mistakes. Easier to move text along.

Re: I just got Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus !

That is awesome. Im downloading the OTA right now!

Cheers!

Nothing here in the ATL. But I want it so bad. Not doing the bootloader thing just yet though. Seeing as I don't need any root features, I try to shy away from those techniques. Not sure that I'll be able to stand it for more than another couple hours though.

Being from Canada and having Samsung update my gnexus looks like I will be waiting months for jelly bean as I am not confident in my skills to root or flash my phone :(:(

I'm currently running a 4.1 ROM. I'm in no hurry, so I'll probably wait till the weekend, flash back to stock 4.0.4, and see if it updates.

I'm eagerly awaiting AKOP's 4.1 release!

Re: I just got Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus !

OTA download was there after fully charging. Will update this post after I play with some more.

Lucky you!! :) I'm off to keep clicking the update button hehehe

does any body know how big is the download file, that way I'll be connected via wi-fi when I download the file, since I have a pre-paid service (Straight Talk) and I dont want them cut off my data if I download a huge file since I dont really have unlimited, unlimited as per say.

I would definitely make sure you're on wifi when you do the update. Not so much due to the data, as it is to have a consistent connection. They generally recommend using wifi for updates.

Re: I just got Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus !

You can open apps.. call etc from Google now... but you need to set phone and Google now to US.
If mines set to UK then them features don't work.

Has anyone got the update OTA yet? I thought for sure by now i would have it....NJ....I could go flash it but the whole purpose of getting this version from the play store was so that I didnt have to do anything but enjoy the update goodness :)

No update here yet either.

Thank you Bren on previous post. I will make sure I'm on wifi when doing the update, as soon as I get home I turn wifi b/c I have comcast/xfinity at home and it is fast.

My question was if my nexus had to be on wifi in order for the JB update to push in, but apparently not. It seems that when the JB update is available it should give me the option to either download it via wifi or cellular data right?
