Jelly bean update

Without root get an app to read your logcat. For example, alogcat. Once the download start, open the app and search for the URL to the actual OTA zip.

Most people run a log cat of on their device. You can down A Log Cat from the Google Play Store. No root is needed.

Leave it running in the background and when you do receive the OTA update notification the Google download link will be in the ongoing script/readout of the log cat.. Sometimes its easy to overlook but backtracking a few minutes of when you receive the notification and you'll find it.

No it won't be called "update.zip" either...

Once you find the link you can post it here or PM me with it and I'll see it gets posted.

How's it run for you? I've heard of issues on the normal Nexus S with JB. Hoping this doesn't carry over to the NS4G.

Apparently, it lasts a few weeks before it completely craps the bed thanks to the low RAM and processor. Some have had no issues...I'd like to know where you stand on it.

It's my wife's phone. She doesn't really understand the difference between ICS and JB, but likes the new wallpaper and likes Google Now. She says it's running fine.

That's very good to know, please keep us posted!

Since you are the first to post that you got it, can you post a screenshot of the ABOUT page showing NS4G, build #, etc.

I will when my wife gets home, it's her phone. How do I take a screen shot with her phone? It's not rooted.

Great thanks. You do not need to be rooted to do a screenshot on the NS4G. ICS includes native screenshot ability.

To take a screenshot, you hold the volume down, and power button at same time. Took me a few tries to get it right. Hold them down for a few seconds.

This sucks...the GNex people are at least confirming that they are receiving the OTA. I havent heard a peep about anybody with NS4G actually getting it.

Are you guys on Stock ICS. I think most NS4G ppl are on custom ROM in this forum....
