Jelly Bean

Yes, it darn well should be but I don't know that Google will allow a retired porn actress hanging out on their front yard.

How do I steer this into a porn related discussion without receiving an infraction or having the thread closed? Could it be considered a "fine art" discussion?

You would store all that on a tablet? I mean honestly our phones don't have that much space. I have over 300GB of ripped music/video and I stream it all from my NAS. Then add in Netflix etc and I have media at my fingertips at all times. With all the cloud storage available(even personal via a NAS) I just think it's a better way to go rather than copying here there and everywhere.
Shouldn't that be Kandy Kane?

True, phones don't have 300GB or even 100GB. But I have 64GB on my phone, why can I only have 16GB on my tablet?

4-6 32GB micro SD cards can carry a lot. And with the new VZ pricing plans for data, streaming will become less prevalent, at least on the carrier network. You're going to find that 4GB data is way too little if you do that much streaming of music/vids. And on a shared plan where 2-3-4 people are doing the same? VZ just sayin' "cha-ching!" I do much travel by car and plane and streaming is only an option by carrier network much of the time (although access to wifi is there when I stop at McD's or Starbucks, lol)

Nope, the ability to add memory is one of the cheapest upgrades that can be made. The decision to not include it is a business model. They want more memory, OK, here's the new model 32GB (or 64GB or 128GB etc.)

Is external memory a security issue? Absotivly, Posilutely. The enterprise space hates it, and perhaps that's the driving factor. The Playbook was designed for the enterprise, look where that went. But consumers are different.

Why have 64GB iPods when they can access wifi and stream music and vids? Apple knows streaming isn't enough, and often wifi isn't free anyway. Not many hotels offer free wifi to their business travelers. Added to the bill at the end of the trip.

No, the no ability to add external memory is planned obsolesense plain and simple.

Joking aside, jellybean looks freaking sweet. I have seen Vids on YouTube and holly crap it is crazy how smooth it is. I want to make it have my UI babies. Too bad the rezound will never officially see it(i know it's not confirmed, but let's get real here). I guess I will have to get my fix with my tf300 when it updates :p. Asus updates for the win

Very well spoken argument. My retort being this; This is exactly why I'm leaving Verizon when my contract is up. I don't feel the need to beef up internal storage when I've made my life available from anything with a data connection. I surely won't suffer the tyranny of Verizon's data policy, so I will leave for another unlimited carrier and keep my digital life moving forward...not backward.

I hear ya but they all seem to be on course to the same destination, just taking different routes. I just wonder what point will need to be reached before the masses understand what is happening in the bigger picture, if they ever do realize their being backed into an increasingly smaller corners.

Gotta agree with this. Sprint's unlimited plans look sweet compared to the new VZ plans. But my guess is they will maintain it only until they grab some of VZ's po'd users.

Sooner or later, love (of money) is gonna getcha.

But I'm hearing/reading that USB OTG will be on the Nexus 7. The no SD slot thing will be less of an issue for me if true.

Your world may be available to a constant data connection, but mine is not. SD storage is an absolute must for me. Inside my front doors is the only connection I control. Plane, car, work I'm dependent on another network where I most likely will have to pay extra. When traveling (lots of times with kids) sure I can rotate a few movies for this trip, next trip swap them out for a few different ones, but you never know what you might feel like at the moment. Even Verizon's "superior" network has a barely existant signal inside my building at work, so streaming Pandora cuts in and out for me. It's a crap ass business model to not include external storage.....because one size fits all never works, and that is why we all hate the fruit company here.

So I just wanna get a jump on this. Seeing that it looks like ICS may be official, I wanna start complaining about not getting Jelly Bean already.

We won't be getting it until 5th quarter 2015,

I HATE VERIZON......GET ME MY UPDATES

HTC is the worst phone manufacturer ever.

If the One X Alpha (all things awesome have alpha in the name) gets JB, why not us? I mean we have the same screen, just a bit less RAM and the S3 can handle it.

IF I DON"T GET JB NEXT WEEK, I'M NEVER BUYING AN HTC PHONE AGAIN!!!! I'M GONNA GO TO PANTECH

What else?

I swear, if I don't get the JB update soon, I'M GONNA CLUB THIS BABY SEAL.

Hay I am the only one who can complain about updates. I think we should have key lime pie by now... I am having a replacement resounded sent to me.now... They replacingthe.tbolt for me... Can't wait.... They made me buy a battery and door....

What makes you so special? We have had people in here practicing their whine for sometime.

Well I was elected the supreme leader since no one ran.against me. I love to go online and protest about how far behind in updates we are while Microsoft and apple manage to get updates out just a bit faster. I think gogle should buy tmobile and merge it into moto and only have android on it. Updates will be out sameday as announced.
