Ok, this needs a very short explaination. What it boils down to is I was going to wait for CES to see what phone to get, but my wife's Storm died, so we have to get phones now instead of later. Since the upgrade is on Wednesday it's fine. I'm getting us each the D2G and then possibly just trading up if the latest and greatest is within the 30 days.

So gang, here I am! I'm happy to finally join the ranks of Android!

Good move!

Comineeyeaha,

You won't be disappointed. I made a similar move the day after Christmas (i.e., Storm -> D2G) and I have been very satisfied. I don't expect the next generation phones to actually be available within 30 days, and even if they are, my area isn't supposed to get LTE service for several months at best. I figure that even if I could get an LTE phone, I wouldn't be able to use it for quite a while unless I travel somewhere. In the meantime, the D2G is a very capable device which is far better than the Storm was and it will keep me happy until something better comes along. Enjoy your new Droid! :D

I left in November

I left in November and have not been so happy with my choice in a long time. I had the Storm 1 and 2, now the D2G and it is almost everything I wanted and need. The things that I miss don't even come close to what the other improvements are, so RIM you lost another one.

Well, turns out my wife thinks that phone looks horrible. It also turns out that she doesn't mind having a severely broken Blackberry while I wait to see what phones are coming out. I may have spoke too soon, which I have done on here a few times before (launch for Incredible, X, and Fascinate). I may still do it, though, it really just depends on how much longer I'll have to wait to upgrade.

The reason I have a D2G now is because my BB Tour's trackball stopped scrolling down. I am very happy with this phone over my old BB. Welcome when you get your ne Android device.
