June 2024 Pixel Update?

It's a bit embarrassing to even admit, but prior to switching to a Pixel 6 Pro and now my Pixel 8 Pro, I owned 2 Motorola's. After experiencing the absolute (please excuse my French) "sh***t-show" of Motorola for a few years, Google could be weeks late in delivering a security update for my P8P and I would still think they were providing supersonic update delivery. 😉

The way they trumpet the importance of the updates one might think that they would assign enough folks to get them out on time.

That is what really irks me.

Good for you!!

I’m not quite sure why you think those are the only choices, but you have yourself a sparkling day.

You'll get it when it's ready. Or would you prefer half backed and multiple updates to fix it after like a beta? Personally, I'll wait.

For all who missed it, Google announced in October, 2023, that updates would no longer roll out on a specific day each month:

“Dear Pixel Owner;

“We currently don’t have enough folks assigned to this task, because it is more a chore than a moneymaker.

Therefor, the poor buggers who are assigned to this task frequently struggle to fix all the bugs, and plug all the holes in time for a first Monday release.

As a result, your choice is to have your updates either a) half-assed, or b) late. We opted for b.

Sincerely yours
Google management”
