June 2024 Pixel Update?

So are the only people still waiting for the update using Pixels purchased through a carrier?
It doesn't matter where you bought your phone. The carrier can still delay any updates. I bought my 8Pro from Google, and is still has no update on TMO. There's only 2 variants currently for the ota file, global, and Telus. This delay would make more sense if there was a TMO variant.

No.

Pixel 8 purchased through Google, and used on Mint Mobile, a T-Mobile MVNO.

Still no bleeping update, and I really love the total lack of explanation.

Addendum: I just checked Other Half’s Pixel 5a, and it invited me to restart. She has the update.
I’m really beginning to feel left out.

Weird. I purchased mine through Google Store in Canada. But my carrier is Public Mobile which is owned by Telus. My Pixel 6 got it says before my Pixel 8 got it, and it doesn't have a SIM card in it.

I'm curious if anyone here uses subdivision of Verizon, like Visible? I wonder if they've received the update

I tried to sideload the update but there's some kind of issue with my Mac and the pixel. I kept getting emulator errors. Like I saw my device attached but also there's an emulator in the terminal that I can't get rid of. And because of that it won't send over the update via the USB debug. I tried!

Yes, I've seen on Reddit where people who have Visible, and even Xfinity and Cox Cable who have MVNOs of Verizon all got the update over a week ago when Verizon released it. Just looks like T-Mobile and MVNOs don't have it.

That would be nice. I went onto the Google fi chat today, And they just told me it will be soon. They don't have any dates lol
I'm in the same boat (very intentionally haven't bought a carrier device in >10 years now, for a variety of reasons), and I honestly never thought I'd see the day when a non-carrier device is blocked by the carrier (still wondering how this actual trigger happens architecturally, is it some sort of carrier - DB check or ?).
This is the 2nd or 3rd go-round of this now, so I guess we just have to adapt...

Carriers have to certify even the unlock version that it works on their network :(

How do you like Visible? I'm considering switching to that from Google Fi.
I've been very happy with it. Verizon is really the main provider where I live (rural Georgia) so I have had no issues. Let me know if you do decide to switch and I'll send you a link for a discount on your first month

Apparently the Pixel 8 was supposed to get Gemini nano with the June feature drop? I enabled on device AI features in developer options but I'm not seeing any of the Gemini nano features on my phone. Maybe it's US only for now?
