I am out of contract right now on all of my family plan lines. If I pre order 2 S3's will it lock me into a new 2 yr contract at the time of pre order or when I actually receive/activate the phones? I would like to know in case I decide to cancel the pre order.
Is anyone having trouble not getting the $100 discount with data plan? My phone is coming up 299.99 instead of 199.99
I am trying to pre order but it is not giving me the option for my unlimited data plan. Anyone have this problem?
Same here. Been excited about upgrading but an extra $100 on top of the $36 upgrade fee has put me off.
Gonna be "that" guy and point out it states "Arrives on or before 6/21/2012"
Personally I'm hoping for the before. However, the knowledge that at latest it should be the 21st is pretty damn awesome.
Do you have iPhone unlimited?
I also pre-ordered my S3 this morning. I am a new convert to Android, and am VERY excited to get my hands on this phone. I am currently rocking a 3 year old iPhone 3GS. It still works fine, but I want to see how the "other side" lives. My wife is waiting for the iPhone 5, but I think she may change her mind once she sees this Galaxy.
My order said June 21, but I read something online this morning that said AT&T they would be shipping around June 18. I would LOVE for that to be true, but I'm not counting on it.
I switched to Android 2 months ago from a 4s. Mainly for the larger screen and LTE. If you live in an area with true LTE and not HSPA+ you are really doing yourself a disservice not upgrading to an LTE device. Let the Euro's keep their quad cores, it's like having a Ferrari and nothing to drive on but one way back alleys. When you get 40mbps down and 20mbps up it's pretty sweet.
Regarding IOS vs Android there is a real learning curve the first few days, you may find yourself missing IOS simplicity. But Android grows on you because you keep finding cool new things you can do with it. Only thing I miss is Apples outstanding support and ease of syncing between devices. With IOS everything works together. Apple can dictate to the carriers what can and cant be done with iphones. That is good and bad in certain ways . With Android it's every Device , carrier, and OS for themselves. That is also good and bad, but when you have issues it can be a while to get them straightened out. This may be why Samsung is streamlining the Gs3. They have enough demand now that they can dictate to the carriers.
is there any advantage in pre-ordering it now? will it really be sold out on June 21?
I sort of want to wait and see how people like it first before I commit. As hyped iam about the phone, I do notice there is a possibility of not being all what its cracked up to be.
You get 30 days to figure out if you like it or not.
I just signed up for the GS3 in pebble blue. Will be doing my biggest tech jump ever. Currently using a samsung prepaid (Amazon.com: Samsung a107 Prepaid GoPhone (AT&T): Cell Phones & Accessories). Always have been fairly techy and engineering oriented, just couldn't justify the cost of the data to myself. I am stoked for this phone!
You will be happy. Only problem you may have is the dirty looks you get from people. SOME people think it's rude to be on your phone ALL the time. And you will be...
