take this info with a grain of salt. i preordered my phone with studentrate about a week ago and this morning i had this waiting in my mailbox.
it says ?the expected release date of the device is June 4, 2011?

it makes me really happy to read and just another bit of data for the collection, thought i should share. i attached a screenshot of the email.
hopefully they?re right!

UPDATE 5/31: the source of June 4th now says "end of June". So long wishful thinking.

Yeaaaa! I am so happy with my iPad 2 that I wouldn't even consider an iPhone 5 for the simple redundancy. Gotta get the best of both worlds, lol. Counting down the minutes to the EVO3D!!

Crazy how close they are cutting it though if that date is correct. Only 10 days away. You would think it would be announced for sure by now thus increasing the hype and probability of a big launch.

I don't think it is true because a post on the studentrate forum about the Evo 3d preorder pretty much says that their source for the release date was the story androidcentral wrote about the June 4th Radioshack rough release date. I was in a Sprint store yesterday and the associate told me to expect an announcement on Thursday. Take that for what is worth.

On a slightly different note. I get the Sprint text messages on new devices. In late April, the 25th to be exact I received an about the upcoming Nexus S. It came out what, May 5th. Yesterday I received a text message on the EVO 3D coming soon. The text might also be a sign.

I got an email from Sprint today announcing the Evo 3d coming soon as well.
