June MR2 vs Newest MR2

There's always n=1 experiences that don't fit the theory. Hence the need to factor in multiple substantial variables. If you look at some peoples' experiences of the differences between leaked MR2 and leaked MR2.5 some people were definitely seeing changes in greater/lesser 3G or 4G connectivity and shorter/longer battery life. And some people had diametrically opposing experiences. It was a bit of a crap shoot to try different radios and see which one worked best in a given situation. Lots of variables to factor in and adjust various settings to try and find the fix that worked best for the largest number of people & towers. Because we were already pushing the envelope on multiple sides trying to tweak marginal performance dictated by a much too weenie-ish 1400 mAh battery. Hope you can handle the technical terms I'm throwing out there!

The original radio when I purchased the phone at the end of June worked perfect for me. After the OTA update on July 8th, My phone was dropping to 3G. I live in a total LTE area where I had never dropped out of 4G, after the update as I said I was dropping down to 3G in the 4G area. Something obviously isn't right. My GPS worked fine, dropping to 3G in a 4G area sucks. I had to reboot the phone to get back into 4G. Bring back the old radio.

I was pretty happy with mine that I just got a week ago. It seemed to be working pretty good. I am on 3G now-a new LTE tower literally already up about 2500 feet from my house. I pay for the Mobile Hot Spot. I have drive to an LTE area and the speeds are fast.
But, since I installed the update, I can't stayed connected to 3G. Speeds range from 3Mbps down to zero and then disconnect. I called Customer Service and they are sending me a new phone. I really am not sure if it is the phone or the Tower. The new tower has not been turned on yet, but using the Antenna App, it does show that is connects every once in a while on 3G.
Battery life for me if pretty good. I am hoping the new one tomorrow doesn't have the latest update and then I can trouble shoot if it is because of the latest update or not.

My phone was stock prior to this recent update and it's 4g connectivity was very spotty. I live in a 3g area, but work in a 4g area and transitioning was often very poor. Often it would stay on 3g or loose data all together unless i rebooted my phone. since this recent update, 4g connectivity has been excellent for me. as for gps, i can't comment on it since i don't use it much. when i do open google maps, it locks fairly quickly when i'm at home, but not so well in the area where i work.
the battery matter: again, i can't comment since i use an extended battery and i charge my phone every night regardless of the power level of my battery (old habit). prior to the extended battery, my phone struggled to last through the day.
