June Software Update

My unlocked S22+ is exactly the same. That's why I don't get why people get so angry when an update is delayed[.]
It's indeed ironic that this thread has more than 200 posts from people pulling their hair out because they couldn't wait for the update, but now that it's here, no one has noticed a difference (except for a few inconsistent reports about battery life, which we always see after an update, usually by coincidence, because battery life can fluctuate randomly).

By the way, the June 1 Google Play System Update is also available now. It's separate from the AVF1 firmware update. (Settings | About phone | Software)

Also how many times do people cry about how the latest update bricked or broke something. I'm just interested in the security patches, not so much software fixes.

Never seen a update break my phone and Im interested in both security and OS improvement..

I want to say it was the S10 when I first found out that Samsung was doing these OS Beta runs where you could sign up and hope to get an invitation. Whichever device it was, for whatever beta, I remember going everyday to the Samsung app searching for the link and never finding it. Then watching threads fill up here at AC with titles like, the beta broke my phone, is anyone else having this problem, and several saying that they would never sign up for a beta again. Anyway that one kind of broke me of the, I want to be first, beta chasing. Yeah I want the update, always looking forward to those, but I no longer want to be first. So to those who join the betas I thank you. Your bad experience is not in vain.

The reality usually is that phones tend to run best with the Android version they came with. I highly doubt that Android 13 is going to run better on my phine than Android 12, but perhaps I'll eat my words.

Monthly updates can often fix bugs but they can produce them just as well..."My battery life has been horrible since the December update."...is not an uncommon thing to hear. I don't worry about the monthly security updates too much, but it is nice to have the obscure holes plugged. I certainly don't wait for them with baited breath but I also understand that FOMO is real.

We waited and waited for the June update on the unlocked S22's. I still don't notice anything of consequence.

First I had to look up your acronym, that was a new one on me. One of my favorites is LIGF, some like to throw an A in there but that's like saying the word and I think LIGF rolls off the tongue better. Anyway I never thought of it like that but yeah FOMO is for real for real.

As for the changes in this last update, I've watched a few videos on YT about it and they all seem to be around four and half minutes and yeah if you're not a camera person you probably wouldn't notice anything. I've tried a couple of the camera things and honestly I've forgotten what they were almost as fast as I tried them. I managed to stay calm and composed over the delay for unlocked devices up until around the 22nd. Then I was like, there are only 8 days left where's my OTA? That was when I started having my own little FOMO moment.

My signal seems to have improved with this update. Previously when leaving my house there'd be issues handing off from WiFi where I'd drive a few miles with no signal. Haven't had this happen as of late ... Maybe it's a coincidence and my carrier has done some local upgrades/improvements??? IDK but either way, I'll take it

There is an issue with the June update. Not sure if it's affecting everyone but mainly TMO and telli users.

The main issue is the lose of wi fi calling. If you have esim you can get this back by toggling the esim off and on but I did lose wifi calling a day after and had to do it again..

Some people are reporting lose of signal as well. I had this happen once yesterday and a restart brought it back

So you notice a bug , I would report that in Samsung members app

As far as overall, I haven't noticed much in the way of the camera, not really all that hung up on the camera as long as it works, I mean I'm still getting soft pictures vs crisp sharp ones. I have noticed an improvement in battery life. I wasn't suffering before but I have noticed ending the day a bit better than before. The only other thing I've noticed is a it seems a bit smoother. I really want to factory reset my phone to see if anything else improves but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on that.
