I took the leap and bought the v20. The reason why I went with this phone was the removable battery, extended storage capacity, the 4 gigs of ram, budge friendly, and the nice size screen. Honestly, I didn't want to finance a $900 phone for 2 years, paid $260 for the phone. I've come to conclusions if you wait a couple of months you'll be able to buy great phones at discounted price. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. What are some tips and tricks you guys have. Thanks in advance.

I don't care for the LGs Android skin, so I loaded Nova launcher, for a case I prefer the ringke opal, although spigen rugged armor case is pretty good,

Get an extra battery.
This allows you to always have a fully charged battery ready and waiting .
Full shut down swap and start brings you to 100% battery in less than 1 minute. Much faster than any Quick charge ever will.
I keep my spare battery and charging case in car charging at all times.

Agreed, but make sure you get the LG battery /charging cradle combo. It's really nice to be able to charge the spare independently, while still using your phone.
Oh, by the way, welcome to the V20 forum!

I have never owned a phone that used up batteries faster than V20. I've gone through two stock batteries and one from ebay that claimed to be stock. They start out great but they don't hold capacity well over time. My 2 yr old Note 3 battery holds charge better and I always charge it to 100% just as I do with V20. Charging to full is not great for the battery but it should last a year or two before having noticeably less capacity.

Stop charging to 100%; unplug at either 80 or 85%. Accubattery can be set to alert you (but not shut off the charger, which is unfortunate but understandable since I've never seen an Android driver that allows the user to shut the charger off under user control.)

The problem resides in the fact that everyone wants their battery to charge "fast" rather than properly, and "fast" means much shorter cell life. You'd think the manufacturers would cut that out but they don't and if anything it's gotten worse over the last few years as "charge speed" has become a comparison point in reviews and similar.

Buy the external battery charger kit from Amazon, the battery charges slower but you can leave it charging overnight. Comes in handy when you need it.
