Just got a call from radio shack

What survey?

When I purchased my pre-order gift card, there was a survey request at the bottom of the receipt. When you finish the surevy you get a coupon for $10.00 off in-store purchase of $40 or more. This coupon is good thru 9/26/2010.

I got to play with the dummy Epic that arrived at my local Radio Shack yesterday with their phones. I've pre-ordered from a Sprint store. Perhaps I should call and make sure they have them!

How does a pre-order + bill-to-account work at a Sprint store? Can you bill the deposit to your account and then have the balance billed when you pick up the phone? Or have the entire $350 billed to the account as a deposit? I'm already on a pre-order at a radio shack but already spent the gift card.

I got on Radio shack email list today & received 10.00 off coupon on 40.00 purchase so I went back to Rshack site and put in my secondary email and guess what , Another coupon arrived.
I did this 3 times took the coupons in and bought 3 50.00 giftcards for 40.00 a peace.
So basically I'm saving 30.00 on my epic :)

Sprint's bill-to-account feature is different for every user. There is criteria you must match in order to be able to do this such as credit history with the company, if you pay on time, and how long you've been with the company.

For instance, Sprint won't let me bill anything except accessories under $100 to my account, and a couple months ago it wouldn't even let me do that. I'm not sure exactly how the system works, and I'm also not sure if you can bill phones at all to your account.

I'd call Sprint and ask one of the customer service reps.

Where do you get that email list $10 off from? In store?
Go to their site scroll down to "Get Special Email Offers" and put in your email.
From that point coupon will be on the way.
If you want more then 1 you must use different email address & different browsers so there is no cookie track.
I used Firefox , Explorer & Explore privet browser.

Yeah, I've billed phones to my account before. Just never billed a pre-order. Anyone know how this works?

that $10 coupon says no gifts cards or mobile phone purchases. How did you get gift cards with them?

I noticed this too.

I attempted to use the coupon code when purchasing a giftcard of the website and it said that the purchase didn't meet the requirements.

I'm going to attempt to use the coupons in store and see if it goes through.

I actually own an Evo, I can upgrade Feb 1st with full discount, and there are a 100 obvious reasons NOT to get the Epic..but considering it. To be honest there are things I prefer about my Evo and in a perfect world, HTC will do exactly what's rumored for the Evo follow up. Bravo Sprint for even getting me to consider it..only AFTER others buy it and show me Samsung finally hit a homering. Good luck!!

I played with one at bb today. Really liked the keyboard. The phone looked pretty meh to be honest, I think the Evo is better looking.

The capacitive buttons on teh dummy had an ugly yellow color. I thought they were supposed to be invisible, hopefully the real ones don't look like this.

The good news though is that I dropped it pretty bad and nothing happened to it. The front is all a big piece of glass and it feels pretty good. It did not seem excessively large.

I heard same issue about capacitive buttons and the look compared to Evo. Still im curious because more improvements and we'll have an Htc 4.3 inch amoled screen, physical kb, kickstand, etc...in the Spring. They are really coming closer quality wise and I love my evo but I want epic to be a success!!
.

Okay, so I printed out 4-5 Radioshack $10 coupons, and went down to my local RS to try to see if they would let me use them.

One of the workers there started to check me out, THEN another came in and said that "coupons can not be used on giftcards".

I asked if I would be able to use the coupon when purchasing my Epic.

In which he said "You can use that coupon towards accessories you buy when you purchase your phone" in which i replied "Im not buying any of your over priced accessories i just want to use the coupon on the phone!"

So it was a failed attempt. Kudos to anyone who got someone stupid enough to let them use a coupon on a giftcard.
