So I had just sent my brother a text message (with Google Voice), slept the device, and set it down. About 15 seconds later, I heard a short vibration on the desk, looked over, and saw the telltale white Google logo on black screen, and it proceeded to boot up.

I did a search but came up empty; has anyone else experienced any random reboots with the (Verizon) Galaxy Nexus?

I have the epic 4g touch with sprint and I was getting reboots all the time. Not so much since the update to 2.3.6 though. I think its a Samsung issue

mine rebooted when watching a flash video. that happened after it was updated this morning.

that has happened to me once so far. phone just died and had to reboot when i was in the market

Please, PLEASE don't mention reboots! I went through reboots for the first 3-6 months of my Thunderbolt. I was so upset to the point I almost got an Iphone :-[

But so far this SGN has been great no issues at all other than battery door loose (have one being sent to me already).

Happened to me too after I hung up from a call. Hope it doesn't happen again

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

It happened to me last night. I was in the middle of doing something and BAM reboot. It was a very quick reboot though.

How are you watching flash video? There is no flash supported on the GN yet? Did I miss an update somewhere?

*Edit*
Scratch that - it's in the market now!

It has happen to me twice. First did not think any thing of it. This time I ws in the process of updating a contact.

Got the phone last night and it has happened twice. My droid x used to reboot at least once a day. Always at the most inopportune times.

android market adobe flash player 11, i believe its been updated

Yeah saw it. Since it's going away anyways I'm going to see if I actually need it before I get it. Especially if it's causing phones to reboot. For what it's worth mines been solid and hasn't restarted except to install the 4.0.2 update.

It happened once to my friend. So far it hasn't happened to me at all. Quite a bit of apps crashing though. Even stock apps and stock launcher.

Earlier this morning it happened to me. The screen went black and wasn't responding to the unlock button. It must of just shut completely off because the power button booted it back up....kinda scary. I will report it if it ever happens again :/....still love the phone! I just pray it isn't a sign of future bad things....

If you are having random reboot etc I would try a factory reset and try it again. I know it sounds lame but I've heard of some people fixing issue like that in the past that way. It may also have to do with a widget that isn't 100% ready for ICS yet. Do you have anything side loaded?

Knocking on wood... not yet. I had a t-bolt. rebooted. Bought iphone4... hated it, went back to t-bolt that fortunately never rebooted.

It did it to me once yesterday, when I was closing a bunch of apps. Nothing again since... *knocks on wood*

Mine did a reboot while I was driving yesterday. When it booted up, it dialed *22899 on it's own! I guess it forgot that A) it was all ready activated and b) it's a 4g phone. Just Crazy. LOL

I'm not expecting everything to be perfect. I do expect bugs. I think we will have to deal with some unexpected crap. Don't panic it will be fine. This will be a nice phone regardless (or sell it right away and get an iPhone.)
