Sorry, don't have time for pics right now & don't know how to check the "board memory."
I'm a non-tech middle aged mamma, just joined site to relieve some (lots of) ignorance. How is this phone, just being introduced now, "older technology"?
and how come reviews rarely mention phone quality: ease of making calls, sound quality on and off speaker, ease of VM retrieval etc?
(i'm in the market for a new phone and that is one of my top four criteria)
Thank you
How much was full retail?Just picked mine up from Radio Shack. I did not preorder and I paid full retail. The manager could not sell it to anyone activating today but since I was paying full price, he went ahead and did it. They had to sell me gift cards anf the manager will use those to ring up the phone tomorrow. I can then go back and get my receipt later. I also had to agree not put my sim into it until tonight. At least I can play with it at home on wifi.
My phone right now has 1.01gb internal free, but I've installed 8 or 10 apps if that makes a difference.
I went by a ATT store to check on my employer discount & they said that the phones most definitely should not be sold until the release date. She had never even seen an Inspire. I told another BB about having the phone & she really wanted to know who sold it to me. I didn't say.
The highest I got around town today was 4135kbps down.
1GB after installing 10 apps is nice. Also, getting over 4000kbps down is very good b/c my iPhone 3GS gets 2000 or less.

Just got back from Costco is Southeast MI, they were selling them and I got mine.
I picked mine up from Costco today and in the process lost my unlimited data plan. The basics of it are I had an unlimited plan which they tried to reassign to the new phone and could not do it, then there was no way they could put the unlimited plan back on my own phone because they don't offer it any more. An at&T rep is supposed to be looking into it, I think I am going to have to go to battle tomorrow to get my data plan back. The phone is sweet, but I am not stoked about loosing the unlimited data.

This happened to me as well, I called AT&T before i went and they noted my account, when I got to costco, they couldn't keep the plan but the man stayed on the phone with at&t and they submitted a case for me, the man from AT&T said there will be no problems getting back the unlimited data
