Just got the S21 Ultra

Smart Switch is SO convenient! Yay for the 5G icon! How are you liking your new phone now?

Well so far so good especially since I didn't have a good signal on my other phone. My friend actually called me and it rang signal didn't drop. I haven't really messed around with everything it does cuz I'm new to this Android 11 and UI 3.1 my unlocked S10 plus never got 11 yet. I had UI 2.5

But everything came back up good all my home screens. I still got to open she more apps and make sure I'm logged in. Most all of them remembered my password either Google, Samsung or my fingerprint.

So far I really like it phone is fast the fingerprint sensor is great. I actually like the purple silicone case from Samsung that I got but I'm using my other one it's just kind of big and kind of hurts my fingers holding the phone. I haven't put my popsocket on yet. And Monday I get my Violet buds. I love the 25W charging too. I have 25 dollar credit films get an extra charger.

Did you make sure wifi was on on the phone while trying to activate?

Once I rebooted the phone it worked I think my wifi auto connected.

But I forgot to mention smart switch abs doing it wirelessly was great.

I use smart switch often. This time I did the Samsung cloud backup since I was exchanging one phone for another (s21plus for ultra) at Best Buy

Well it was weird but I usually do that and on my S10 plus under account and back up it shows back up and restore but on the new phone I didn't see restore I think it said transfer data from old device I don't remember but the Verizon lady said I needed to open smart switch and that it would do it wirelessly so I did and everything is great.

One little problem is under bluetooth it said watch connected but on the app it showed for me to click on connect and it kept spinning and the app never said connected but under bluetooth it does. It says connected for calls and their is something called input device but it doesn't toggle on it goes back off. But the wearable app is still trying to connect.

Edit: I just got off the phone with Samsung I had to uninstall the wearables app and reinstall it but I finally got my watch paired and connected right. And I I used to use a lot of things and I could never find like a matching watch face and I just realized when restoring my watch and setting up my watch face there's a matching watch face to match the wallpaper on the phone and that just excites me LOL!

Congratulations! I’m so excited for you! I had made one last change to my preorder before Samsung finally had enough of my cancellations and changes and locked me in, lol. I ended up with a Black unlocked S21 Ultra 512 GB with the same purple case you got, the S View Cover with S Pen, black rugged case, and the purple ear buds. I had a brown phone preordered for awhile but changed to black and changed one of my case selections since I preferred a clear case I found on Amazon instead. My phone is supposed to be here Monday.

Anyway it’s been such fun reading your posts and I’m so glad your phone is finally here and you’re enjoying it so far, even with a few small hiccups here and there. I bet it was fun to find the wallpaper to match your phone. Samsung products are so much fun to customize! I saw the issues you mentioned about themes so I think I’ll just start out with customizing my wallpaper and wait for fully updated and rated themes to hit the theme store before I try any.

Got my Sprint S21 Ultra from Best Buy yesterday. Love the phone! It takes some pretty decent photos too. So far I just have a Tech21 case on it.

Tech21 are my favorite cases. Truly great protection and not slick. I am coming from an s10 in blue but this has supplanted it as my goat phone. It is narrow enough to hold just fine and there is just enough squareness on the edges that it's "grabby". Matte black is my favorite (tipping my hat to you, BlackBerry Z10!).

Thanks! So far the phone is great! I have it pretty much set up. I don't like how your folders their is only 3 apps in a row and not 4 so some folders I have an extra page to scroll over to but that's not a big deal. I just have to rearrange my apps. I still need my Zagg protector though. My violet buds will be here Monday and all I will have left is the pen which won't be till the 16th. I have $25 in credit still and they told me if I buy the $35 charger cause I want an extra one after I get it they will credit me $9 bucks cause BB has it for 25 but they are out of it on Samsung. I wanted the S view cover with s-pen but they only had black I saw pictures of purple somewhere. My husband got the other case that holds the pen he doesn't have it yet. He is using the black leather case for now. He has an old pen from his S3 tab that works though.

But yes my S10 plus had signal problems and I'm not a 100% sure but I think this phone the mic is on top and it wasn't on my S10 + cause when my phone was in my car dock I could hardly say hey google or speak text with my mic open like the legs were in the way and now it works perfect every time plus I had signal problems too. I have a wireless charging dock but my case must be too thick it's not charging but it's ok I can plug in if needed.

But my s10 had signal problems hardware related and pictures took forever to send now everything is great I have signal where I didn't before. I see 5G all the time pretty much. I love it! I'm glad I went with the Ultra I am getting used to the size and once my pop socket is on I'll be good to go. Just still deciding the exact spot I want it to be and trying to watch how I am holding the phone LOL!

I have had mine for a couple days. One thing that is frustrating me coming from the S9+ is having the volume on the right side. I always hold my phone in my left hand. I'm trying to find a floating control or app the can give me a virtual control.

Last Saturday I went to Telus to upgrade my wife from an iPhone xR to the 12 Pro Max. I currently had the Note 10+. I asked the guy if he had any S21 Ultras. He had one black 128GB. Took it right there. Still in awe about the 120hz. What a difference come from my Note

I have had mine for a couple days. One thing that is frustrating me coming from the S9+ is having the volume on the right side. I always hold my phone in my left hand. I'm trying to find a floating control or app the can give me a virtual control.

I'm still not used to the volume on the right side we came from S10+. But my friend saw where I posted about my new phone and she started asking me about it and now her and her husband are both getting the 512 GB ultra from T-Mobile. I love it!

I got the active2 the other day and couldn't get it added to the Sprint(Tmobile) network kept getting error. Did a chat and she got it added. Still later noticed when I was away from the phone it wasn't working as lte like it should but I found a setting in the watch, Connections-there is a "turn on now" option to tap and that gets the lte working.
