Just maybe a release date. Nexus verizon

In hindsight, we were all saying the same thing in February about the Bolt, but the reality is that they're till a business. The GNex WILL sell. Honestly, probably just as well anytime (within the reasonable future) as it would if it launched tomorrow. So VZ is taking advantage of that in order to move other products.

They know their customers TOO well, imo. They know you'll be in that store for the GNex the day if comes out, even if it's 4 AM on Christmas Eve and you have to ski to the store. Exaggeration are fun, but you get the point, I hope.

It won't sell as well if they release it after black Friday. That is a fact. That being said, releasing before black Friday will just take away sales of the other big 3 (razr and rezound). So I don't think Verizon is too concerned with getting it out by black Friday, though I would have to think that Samsung would want it released by then. Remember how small of a minority we are. We are not the "average" Verizon customer.

Give it some time guys. Verizon needs to satisfy their two of the top premier partners, moto and HTC. Having three top tier phones at the same time will confuse not only consumers, but some of the less educated sales reps. Each will have to meet their quotas this holiday season. The moto and HTC phones each come with bloatware, and each one sold nets Verizon an additional benjamin from its network of marketers. Simple supply and demand working here. I just can't see the rezound and razr flying off the shelves.

LOLWUT? It was their launch 4G device.

So I would say thats a debut.

The preorders were a month before the phone ever saw the light of day.

Obviously, this over both Borgey41 & your head, to comprehend. Wtf, does the Tbolt 4g have to do w/ this. Your reference is a Best Buy ad, an auth. retailer. That's irrelevant to corporate VzW. They can have looser guidelines in their marketing. BTW, in case your unaware, HTC has built phones previously for the VzW roster. Google has NEVER released a Nexus device on VzW. You & Borgey41, both completely misinterpreted the word "debut". Anything else need correction, here?

HIGHLY doubtful this rumor is true, but if it is then it's a sign from the heavens that I need to spend money. Tomorrow is my birthday and I've been debating buying the nexus, but if it truly comes out tomorrow then I have no choice but to plunk down 600-700 bucks.

LOL wow....... all I can say is wow.......... good one there chief that made total sense.

Granted my second post seems oddly phrased in hindsight but I still don't believe you could even process what you lol'd about, no matter how it was written. If I'm off base on my comment, why don't you announce the release date, oh so, enlightened one or even a preorder date? We'd all really appreciate it....game, set, match.

I talked to pretty much every Verizon store here, and no one knows anything. I knew more than they did. One rep did say December--but seemed pretty clueless. He did say they haven't even started training on it. The others...looked at me like I had ten heads.

I may be late and, some of you may already know this. I went on the advertised Nexus site from Goggle and, it shows the specs for the U.S. version. It shows a 1850 mAPH battery so, I guess that question is officially answered.

More rumor fodder:

At the end of this Verge article, google is quoted as saying: "Google tells us the Galaxy Nexus will be available "pretty much everywhere" from Monday, November 21st."

Galaxy Nexus on sale in the UK today | The Verge

Obviously that can be read in a few different ways (like it might be just talking about the UK region), but it's still fun to dream

Apparently it was over your head that the preorder form in this thread was from a retailer, not corp. That makes my example completely relevant. You are trying to say release is iminent because a retailer did a preorder. I showed how that can be deceiving because Best Buy started Thunderbolt preorders a month prior to launch.

Any questions? Maybe next time don't be blinded by a Verizon logo and look closer? You seem to have a knack for belittling, but not for reading comprehension.

In the same Corporate office park (why my Employers FL West Coast Ops are located) is the VZW Corp. office for the Florida Region and a few of the places where my colleagues and I take lunch are same places where VZW Corp. employes take lunch.

Over the years we have become very friendly with them arranging tours of my employers factories (we manufacturer some very cool stuff) and they have arranged tours of one of their MSCs.

Yesterday at a decent Thai place we were talking with some of the VZW guys (they work under Pam Tope,President for the FL Region) and I asked about the Galaxy Nexus and the reason for the delay.

These guys have been fairly reliable in the past and after some banter back and forth they said they were told that the device was not (always) playing nice with LTE and battery life was also an issue. I asked if they had heard about any firm release and they said the last they had heard was the 21st, but that could shift if/when the issues are resolved.

Not being a VZW customer and not wanting to switch to a DATA Cap plan I will stick with at&t Mobility, but just passing along any info that I am able to gather.

is it just me or does it seem LTE seems to be the problem with all of these phones being released? verizon may want to look into that.
