I just bought my phone and opened it, only installed facebook, instagrama and telegram, and then fully charged the phone. After that, I unplugged it from charger and put it on the shelf and didn't even touch it for an hour. Then I picked it and saw the battery has only 50% charge.

I haven't seen something like this in my life and even non of my friends have experience a similar situation. Does anyone have any idea what the reason could be?

Btw, I bought this lg v20 from newegg.com and they don't refund it and only accept return.

Is it a brand new device?
Did you look at the Battery stats to see what used all of the juice?
Did you get a new SIM card or were you using a previous one? What is your cellular signal like?

I admit that it's unusual for the battery to drop so quickly but I've had a battery go from fully charged to completely dead in a few hours when I worked in a lab with no signal.

Give the phone few weeks to settle in. Batteries in storage needs to go through a few cycles. Also, the OS needs to learn your habits and will optimize.
