Sorry, but can't log into youtube at work...does going to stock android require rooting? I hope so! This thing would be a beast with stock android.

no need for root on it, it comes with both vanilla and the touchwiz. well it's sorta vanilla i believe but I have to get mine tomorrow to find out for sure...

My battery was pretty much dead too..kinda odd. I wonder if someone had been playing around with them at some point?

Funny you say that. I went back to BB to exchange my Epic, the speaker was not giving me sound. I noticed as they put a new one together for me that the battery and phone were both wrapped in plastic, the first phone they gave me this morning they were not. So I'm going to assume they tested the phone and put it back in the box. Kind of sucks that they would do that.

The new one had a bit of battery life and the speaker works. All is good in the world.

I watched it for you.
Hit the Menu>settings>applications>manage applications. Press menu again select filter> select all
Scroll towards the bottom of the list and click on Twlauncher, go towards the bottom and "clear default", Push the home button and choose what launcher you would like.

I did notice my battery level was only half charged. When I bought the Evo, it was fully charged. Hmmm...

If the phone was fully charged, that means the phone was used before. Most manufacturers partially charge the battery on purpose so that you can condition the battery right from the get go. It's actually good for the battery to fully charge before you start using the phone. But most people dont do this and immediately start using it AS they are charging. Bad joo joo.

Waiting now for a full charge to get busy with changes!
