Just put Thai SIM card in- loads of updates done...?

Hi guys

I bought an off contract s5 today and was playing around with it without a SIM card. I then put a Thai SIM card in and the s5 ran loads of updates. Are these updates anything to worry about and will it effect me when I got back Oz and put my Ozzie SIM card in? I know that some providers download certain settings, is this what happened and is it a negative?

Because your s5 get updates from the sim card carriers same as blackberry
